Yuhe Finger seems like it would require high PER, which is not one of our strengths right now. Besides, Cao'er is going to be sticking to us like glue, we'll have chances to pick it up from her later.

I'm fine with going over the 24 month constraint a little. We'll still have plenty of time to adventure. So I modified your new proposal:

This would put us at 26 months, which I personally find acceptable. We can't become truly great with subpar perception, especially if we're going to be dealing with opponents feinting and doing tricksy sleight-of-hand stuff and whatnot, and I think we really need one sword tech in there to fully utilize our wodao as opposed to just a general sword level up. Right now our sword techs are pretty fucking low-level. I think we can and should do better than this.

That said, I'm fine with dropping the PER if most people want to, as long as we keep the Minamoto style.

So that's my conditional vote for now: Kipeci Unarmed (Bananas) > Kipeci Unarmed (Half-Blind Bananas)

Why do you think the Yuchang style is so awesome, hmm? You don't think a near master swordsman like Bai would see through our childishly deceptive sword style? Also, what if we lose or are not allowed to use the Yuchang sword - say in a tournament or a duel? A better option would be:

Bai seems to be pretty quick on the draw himself (as we saw in his duel with the wudang bros) and the only thing I can see working against a swordsman of his level of skill and training is a style completely different from anything seen in mainland China. I'm thinking we'd need a dexterity boost to make this effective though - "flowing" and "quick draws". It would be a better option than END since treave said the pearl already helps us extend beyond what should be our body's qi limit.

 

Lambchopian 24 Month Lightning Fast Swords Package:

For 36 Months:

29. Intensive perception training. (+1 PER, 5 months)
32. Intensive intelligence training. (+1 INT, 5 months)

The focus here is on speed as I feel it is necessary in order to fully take advantage of the Minamoto technique. We'd have an effective 12 AGI. Even Bai will have trouble keeping up. The 36 Month add on gives us intelligence and even more precision with our strikes and improves our ability to learn and create new techniques.

 

Lambchop19, you might want to vote on the time interval, first. In terms of 18-24 or 30-36 months.

Look, it is blatantly obvious treave wants us to go for the prayer. The story still is in its setup stage, and this is a way to finally introduce the major players in this setting and to shift perspectives without getting Jing killed. So why don't we try and let him write the story he wants to write, instead of the one we want him to write?

I believe there is a bigger story behind Jing's adventures, as the bit about Chi You seems to indicate, and I want to find out more about it.

Besides, if this pairs us with Bai Jiutian, it gives us untold possibilities to fuck up that Huashan prig Wuxung from the inside. It does not seem like Bai adores his/her master.

Come on, people! We have to try this one out!

 

Not really, no. As I said, gods and devils don't really figure into this LP much.

 

Damn it. And I so wanted it to happen.

Still voting on it for a change of perspective, as long as it does not get Jing killed. Those Ms Bai updates were the most endearing things I've read in this whole LP.
