Ah. It went more or less as expected. I was hoping that the half of squire squad will be beat up enough for them to withdraw. Didn't think a kid would get killed, but that one isn't on us, and without us they all would've been dead anyway. And it was a boy, so who cares?

Aria looks great in a cloak and all, but a weapon would be nice to have for a situation like this. I wonder how many spells did she pick up along the road. Could she cast a few wolves on her own? Any protective spells? Or was it Gigadyne's unique and extremely flexible power requirements that made it easier for her to learn it? In any case, more interaction with our apprentices would be welcome.

Right-hand slime of the Dark Lord, eh? We've got a rival or something? I'd say, never trust someone who has a slimy right hand. It underwhelms the impression.

No, this is very relevant. It is indicative of their preferences, and thus of our perception of them.

It is much easier to ask a perceived female slime about a favor that we want, than a male one. Although this is the Codex, you'll never know.

That said, kicking Quekquek's ass is the only acceptable solution for me. I need those pinkies and purples. A.

It looks like we are on a kind of a time-limit here. The reinforcements will arrive soon, and by then we should either be done with our task, or prepared to meet them. Don't know if that's an argument in favor of any decisions.

Interesting. 3 levels from 5th to 8th made Aria progress almost as much as 7 from 8th to 15th. Looks like she may hit a potential cap at around 50 levels with D stats if the rate of progression continues. But humans clearly can achieve better results, as our adventuring party in the beginning have shown. Is it because she is just a teenager?

 

Yay, an update! Oh God, a Slime Queen, for real. Just like that game *shudders*. Fortunately, this one seems to be way more reasonable. Moreover, they seem to have a hivemind of sorts. It could be useful for spying. Also, I believe both Brun and Kek Quek immediately noticed we're not exactly human, but they're not sure if we're an Angel. Is it because they never saw one of these during their lives? Or is it because of Erd's "strange soul"?

Either way, I vote A. Rance-boy Erdrick doesn't want to do anything with a male if he can avoid it. Doubly so if it's a evil-looking slime who serves a Dark Lord (could it be Athos?). We don't want any competition, don't we?

Well, to be fair, these were Hero material, so it's natural they would be that strong. However, I'm sure Aria can and will grow stronger once she's able to switch class to Sorcerer/Magus/Mystic Knight/Whatever equivalent this world has. And that's not counting whatever spells and special skills she has. However, I believe Erdrick should try to give her some clothes before we return to Grahferde, lest Rin and Arlin see this and react poorly.

Wait, how the hell did a slime become a wielder of Barbatos? It doesn't even have arms to begin with. I'm sure there's a funny story behind this one.

Also, did both Erdrick and Aria slept the entire night close to a bunch of slimes, without being bothered by this issue at all? I think that's being too overconfident, even for Mercant.

 

I like C. More XP, certainly. It probably inspires much less success in terms of slime loyalty than by choosing a side, and the Dark Lord won't be happy, but my goal is to bludgeon everyone into peace and harmony as components of Trider's eventual angelic empire and this is the closest option to that.

If folks betray us later due to bitterness about this sort of thing, that's all the more chance to harvest XP.

If the 'Dark Lord' (what a faggy name!) had any power to begin with, he'd have some demons or Minotaur Lords as his right hand, not some filthy male slime.

I would like to crush our way into Dark Lord's service and then crush him (or hopefully it's her and then we add her to our harem), but since we choice to focus on angelic impotence, I'll have to vote A>C.

 

That's the thing, though, we don't know which of these slimes can help us, or if we need both of them to do it. Why pick one over the other, when we can subjugate both?
Gentlemen, there is one thing whose importance stands above all else: Muh Dik. Before we think of men, women, Dark Lords or Heroes, we must always consider Muh Dik and right now it needs options, so why limit ourselves?

 

Double the subjugated slimes means double the slime trails that Trider may inject into his powerless cock.

 

I dunno. The queen asked us not to kill her really nicely. Looks like we don't even need to subjugate those.

This is all fine and dandy, but I am not sure if we aren't risking doing something we might later regret, like killing both of them - or making them slink away in a panic. The Queen mentioned that this is their "main" body, implying they have some auxillary ones (?). Or did she mean that she is unique like that? I have no idea how the slimes function.

Try taking too much, and you might be left with nothing.

 

This tells me everything I need to know about Quekquek.

 

Black slimes have not demostrated any ability to raise cocks, while pink slimes have. Besides blacks explode when frozen, others do not do so.

But wouldn't Quekquek, as a man, understand more about dongs than a woman would? What do women know about Muh Dik, anyway, if they don't have any?
It's like asking a Philosophy Major to write a textbook on Nuclear Physics, or asking a lawyer to design a pipe system for a house: they can research it, yeah, but they don't understand the D instinctively like those that possess it do.
I'm not saying that I've side has a guaranteed cure, in saying that we ought to utilize both. If Quekquek chose to be a man, then he must have some understanding of Muh Dik.

 

Some of those slimes subsist on nutrients from dicks, so they have to know somethign in order to not die of hunger.

Also, Quekquek is not a man and should not have a dong, as the slimes reproduce differently. He just projects masculine traits. He is a dickless pretender. An eunuch, basically. Filthy scum, I tend to kill those on sight.

Blue slime might have less knowledge of feelings of dong, but she how get one work

 

I'm sure that the black slime feasts on dick, too, they're both slimes. It's a double expert.

 

It is yet unproven. First, the slime eating habits differ from color to color. There are herbivores, carnivores and there are slimes feeding off clothing.

Second, nothing at all is known about black slimes, except that they explode when frozen. As of now, everything points to them being an artificial creation by the 'Dark Lord'. BRObatos hasn't heard of them, and he's been around for some millenia. Even the Slime queen finds them strange. And the self-destruction mechanism looks like something introduced to prevent their closer examination.

Somehow I doubt the 'Dark Lord' has a dong problem and that he installed anything to help our cause in one of its creations.

They probably are more combat-capable than the originals, though.

 

This is a lot of speculation on their habits based solely on them wrecking the other colors of slimes. Treave said that when it comes down to it, a slime will eat anything. Dicks are things, therefore they gobble them. Probably.

Preserving slime diversity is best for ensuring that our mad scientist has something to work with. It's best to subjugate both the colored and the rainbow slimes.

 

That's not the kind of expertise we want from them.

But anyway. The thing I do not get is that you guys are operating on an implicit assumption 'we won't get the slimes that we attack', which is fair, but then somehow the argument does a 180 and becomes 'so let's attack both of them to get them all'. That's where you lose me.

I do not see a reason to subjugate species that clearly acknowledge our superiority and our ability to kill them.
