You know what, I think Ill vote for trusting the Princessness of Rin for negotiation and let Arlin, Boss, and the slime bros and broettes handle the bandits. I think we need to see how Arlin can handle himself. Lucy still goes with Rin in case she needs a bovine missile which can apparently one hit kill the best fighters in Methuss.

Yes, yes, but the point was that we weren't aware of it and therefor we made a choice that would have potentially been a high risk to ourselves. And don't forget that we had the option of sticking with that bad timeline and fighting Shulgi as some sort of half-aborted cyborg. It was a retarded decision with potentially huge story consequences - though it did manage to shut the pro-naim crowd up for a while once we all decided on a rollback.

Well, the Heist plan would have revolved around either kidnapping the mayor's daughter or else intercepting a large shipment that is either already going to a real client or creating a fake client for them to send a large shipment to and robbing the shipment en rout.

But since cow diplomacy retardation has set in, I see no other choice but to vote against the magnatite altogether. It is probably a time-waster anyway.

While I see the other two as somewhat feasible (kidnapping more so than an outright attack), I think any client that would have the funds for magnatite would have to be a well-known entity.

Which is why I found sending a cow from a nobody (at best) or a wanted murderer (at worst) and expecting a shipment in return so hilarious.

 

Curious why you want a non-human half-elf like Zayan as part of that team given the massive anti-nonhuman field around the place. Did I miss something here or wouldn't she barely be able to move?

 

She is really trying to impress us and we can give her a chance to actually do so. On the other hand, reading about the mines collapsing and Methuss' economy grinding to a halt could be fun also.

 

The only chance of that working is if the mayor finds the cow more sexually attractive than appetizing and Erd blackmails him with cow molestation allegations.

But in all likelihood Lucy will either die or barely escape with her life, covered in barbecue sauce and with an apple in her mouth.

 

I want her to get a look at the temple to maybe technomagick a way for us to get around the field. My other concern is letting her observe the adventurer guild forces and having her come back and make our fortress a perfect trap for them.

 

This is a team we take with us to Yuiria. There are several things to do there, and it is not even certain we will be doing them by ourselves (as opposed to contacting some shady forces).

Who goes inside the temple will be decided at a later date.

What I want is an expert on SCIENCE to take measurements around the temple and come up with a way to negate the field or its effects, or do something about it.

We have Aria to enter it 'normally', we have Erdrick to force the issue and GANBATTE it out, but it would be nice to see if there isn't a third option open. After all, they design their rape dungeons around normal guys with normal thought processes, not around crazy scientists.

 

That could be a good idea. treave what does Zayan say about the possibility of this? If it is possible she could at least analyze the field, then consider my vote for bringing her as well.

Also might be a good idea, though I doubt seeing them will provide more intel. Standard deathtraps should work, unless she finds out they all wear mithril and she knows how to make anti-mithril or something.

 

Well, if we get a barbecue sauce and a free apple out of this, I think it would be a net gain!

But yes, I will remove Lucy from my plans for now, or stuff her somewhere where she would be better guarded.

I expect the adventurers to have a varied skillset with strange magics, martial arts, magic items, etc. Thes aren't just bog standard soldiers and some of them may be quite poweful.

 

I thought it was obvious the idea for Zyan going to Yuria was to NOT enter the temple by herself at all, but instead use her SCIENCE! and help us from the sides. But I already mentioned that perhaps elves are not considered "true" monsters to be affected (along with dwarves, most likely), so who knows. However, she can mask herself with Another Face as soon as we teach it to her (assuming she doesn't know it or can use some variant already), so she should be safe with the adventurers... For a while. You know sooner or later we'll encounter another Demon and/or a Demon-blooded adventurer who will be able to see through our bullshit ASAP.

In any case, Nevill, what's the current count now? What is the plan with most votes?

 

Alternatively, they might have a bit of a plumbing problem in a building they use as their HQ, or have their armors damaged by mithril-eating moth, or have anything else happen to them to either delay the expedition or cause it to become less effective.

I don't know, I don't care.

Plan archaen had about 6 votes, but then archaen flopped away from it, and Baltika and I had our little differences. As far as I know, there is no united plan. I think I've seen most voters agree that we should visit Yuiria (with a few others skipping it and picking Ontoglia instead - I can only remember TOME and Storyfag), and that Rin should deal with the bandits - and that is pretty much the only things we could agree on.

Vote for my plan guys, is the less retarded and most lulzy, and will give us a quick update.

 

It involves trying to find a counter against divine wards that are strong enough to insta-kill weaker monsters. Definitely a challenge she'd like to take a crack at, but it is not something that she can have an answer for instantly. Of course, her research would progress faster if you allowed her to send test subjects in and record the results, see what works and what doesn't.

 

Amend my vote to bring a few nameless goblins then. Tragically, I fear none of them will return alive, but then c'est la vie.

Hold on treave, is there any way that Zayan can disguise herself in Ontoglia by any chance?

 

Well, not if she has to talk with anyone for a period of time. Her mannerisms are irrepressible. Otherwise she can probably go incognito.

 

I haven't been able to get a proper post on this, but this is what I would like to see:

Ontoglia: Mercant and Lucy. I think Mercant should be able to handle magnatite acquisition with sufficient application of force or chores/diplomacy essentially by himself, Lucy can act as our trusty steed to minimize walking as well as providing the good lucks to bamboozle folks.

Fortunio's Camp: Rin, Arlin, Aria. Somehow, I get the feeling that the diplomacy with this place will be right down Rin's alley. Aria and Rin ought to be given tasks so that they don't get into too much trouble by themselves, and Arlin can be the adults and keep the others somewhat grounded.

Grahferde: Everyone else. I want the slimes staying put to develop and Zayan to look after the slimes and do whatever else is necessary while we get her her magnatite supplies, and everyone else ought to either help her ought in whatever way they can or look for if that fire lord things is regenerating anywhere.

I think we're better off leaving Yuiria alone until we can return in person, myself.

 

Well I am fine with it as long as we ignore Ontoglia altogether.

And Baltika wants several goblins in town, not just Petze.

My plan would be this:
Yuiria: Erdrick, Zayan, Aria - one can tough it up, one can enter the temple (might prove useful if we get into a bind/lose consciousness or something), and one can SCIENCE, although it takes time. If we figure out a way to extract the Priest (can't people ask him to come instead, or does he always need to be present in the Temple?) during our incursion, all the better.

Fortunio: Rin, Arlin, whatever else (Slimes/goblins/Lucy are mostly fluff). A basic dichotonomy of a good cop/bad cop. Whoever gets a taste of Rin would love to hear Arlin's counter-proposal that doesn't involve them accidentally flayed alive.

Ontoglia: ignore for now.

Grahferde - I might be paranoid, but it would be nice to ensure the prisoner can't run away and leave someone there besides the goblins. Maybe slimes?

Kipeci's plan is a sound alternative if we ignore Yuiria in favor of Ontoglia.
