I was starting to write a reply about when we are going to develop an obsession by pursuing every Uehara-related choice, and then the update happened.

But will A do that? It seems like A will just play into the fantasy that she was killed by some unknown entity. Not sure B helps much either, but it might hopefully at least divert the others attention off us for a while.

Of course A will do that! It is, after all, not a question of attracting attention, but a question of whether or not we care.

Now, if we care, I would fully expect us to cradle her lifeless body with our hands and have her haunt our dreams. The guilt would drive us insane, and one day we will sneak back into the room, cut the head off, put it in a jar, and have a lot of nice philosophical discussions about Descartes and the nature of doubt together. It will be even better than the real thing! Maybe eventually she will start coming up with counterpoints and rebuttals!

It is a beginning of a beautiful relationship. Don't spoil it.

All that denial and repression is a fast track to becoming the guilt-filled, unhinged creeper Shinoseki was born to be. He just needs to latch on to another woman to prove to her it's not his fault at all.

But what guilt are we talking about if it's a genuine refusal to be held responsible?

And of course we will be latching to someone else in search of comfort. Maeda-san looks like a good next target. I don't see her being very thrilled by her marriage prospects, and it is good to know that i-it's not like she is interested in us or anything.

Let's try to accomplish what Jing failed to do and get all the women killed added to our jar collection.
