Not to be outdone, IGN also has a preview of Mage Knight Apocalypse. Here's the very first paragraph:

RPGs are coming back! Thank the lords that publishers and developers realized that PC gamers have been scratching and twitching this whole time. Happily, there are a ton of RPGs set to release this year, one of which is Namco's Mage Knight: Apocalypse. We last saw this game in October and since then it's come along way.

I have to admit, I stopped reading right there. There's just so much wrong with that paragraph, it's not even funny. Everything from the whole RPG players will have a great year because of all the releases when there's not much on the horizon that looks like it's not just another action combat game, to the good news for the PC gamer front when this is yet another one of those multiplatform consolified things which nearly all of which have a shoddy control scheme. Yes, much rejoicing to be had.

[Insert well intentioned argument that if we all bought five copies of this game people will start making the rpgs we'd like].

I did read it and it seems like just another action RPG borrowing some stuff from Diablo, Sacred etc.

Just what we need at the moment, NOT.

I checked the page for fun, and yes, they got dwarves with guns. I flipped through the screenshot gallery and ... yes they have dwarves with miniguns... NEXT!

It is nice to see that quality is no longer a trait required for the game of today.
