In any case, DA:O was complete and utter shit. Casualized trash for console gamers that tried to exploit the Baldur' Gate legacy by posing as a "spiritual sequel". More like a spiritual abomination.

Even on release people were complaining about the textures. I guess this would be a texture pack and little else. I guess they could add the junk tab to the PC version for feature parity with the console version.

They'd have to redo the scenes where the PC speaks and that sounds like so much work that they'd might as well make a new game.

If they redesign the encounters and add more creature types, spruce up the overly brown color palette, fix the difficulty settings so they aren't only stat bloat and improve the models and textures, then great, bring on the remaster. But like Roguey said, I doubt this is going to be more than a texture pack, as if we don't have mods for that already.

The only thing they need to do to make the game playable is fix that fucking memory leak that made load times get worse as game progressed. That killed all enjoyment for me.
