I'm not sure how I missed this gem.



It's basically monopoly, but you play with the rules of socialism.

When you pass go, if you have the most properties you give the player with the least amount of properties one of your properties.

The chance cards have things like "You catch your neighbor using a plastic straw, send them to jail"

The game also has revamped properties like the "No Tip Vegan Restaurant" where players that land on it don't have to pay you rent, but a tip is suggested.

This isn't critique though, it's just slinging shit at a banal straw man.

Now, a version of Monopoly based on the intricacies of the Soviet economy ca. 1980, that would have been a good board game critique of socialism. It would probably have been both humorous and educational too.
