Mortal Kombat 11: Clone Wars, with mumble rappers appearing as NPCs in a special game mode that allows the player to beat the shit out of them for promoting the most retarded Earthrealm music ever.

They know full well only boyz from da hood play MK, so that trailer with the shitty hiphop is spot on.

MK9 was pretty allright, but I'm just a sucker for as many ninjas as possible and that roster had like, all of them.

MK games follow the Star Trek movie logic. So how many more crap MK titles before we can have a good one again?

Also what is up with the "lore" anyway, is it Raiden's turn to be evil or what?

So as you may or may not know, at the end of Mortal Kombat X, Raiden gave Shinnok's head to Liu Kang and Kitana, the new rulers of the NetherRealm. Raiden told them he would show no mercy to anyone who threatened EarthRealm, and looked like his dark self from MK: Deception or Armageddon.

Eeh.. O.K. You really think it is a good idea to even spit in the direction of Deception/Armageddon?

While Mortal Kombat XI is unlikely to be pseudo-open-world like Deception, it is said to take place over the course of a number of years. The story of Dark Raiden Vs. NetherRealm's greatest warriors will span at least six years and see considerable changes to the status quo.

OK, so what about...

Perhaps some will deem this a note of bad news, but characters that died, or were considered dead, in MKX, will not be returning for the next entry.

So, Nightwolf, Sindel, Shinnok, Smoke, Kabal, Mileena, Shao Kahn, Kintaro, Motaro, Baraka, and Stryker, will all be unavailable in MKXI. Naturally, some gamers will be disappointed in this, especially with Baraka, however it's also an opportunity for new characters to appear. That was the case with MKX, as we got introduced to great new fighters like Ferra & Torr, Cassie Cage, Kotal Kahn, and Erron Black.

Oh fuck. How many interesting new characters have you managed to introduce?

And wasn't Shao Kahn supposed to be dead? I guess DLC characters can be dead.

For several years now, a new Mortal Kombat movie has been spinning its wheels in Hollywood. You can read all about its rumoured plot and production hell right here, but suffice to say it sounds like it actually might be coming to fruition, with horror veteran James Wan attached to produce.

If such a movie is indeed in the pipeline, NetherRealm may be holding off on announcing the next game, to synergize the two announcements. If the movie was in active development right now, it stands to reason that it could release next year, and what better time to release the game that just before the franchise reboot?

Urgh.

I like how even CGI animations are fucking clunky as fuck.
MK animation retardation is like weirdest shit ever.

Like someone would record retarded kid having autism attack when they tried to force him to do punches and kicks and since then every single new MK game uses those as a base.

Wtf is this ooga booga music? Eugh.

Also I wouldn't be so sure about the no dead characters returning rule, apparently my girl Jade is on the roster and she was killed pretty hard in mk9.

I wish they'd go back to having that ominous music from MK1/MK2 and some stages in MK3.
