Installing most of currently used mods is completely without issues. Incompatibilities occur. But they are fixed by either deactivating the mod until it is updated, or even just deactivating some individual features in the mod.

For instance, the tweaks mod seems to cause crashes when entering the smithy. Fixed by deactivating a smithy-related feature in the mod (untick the option to hide locked weapon parts). Still works otherwise.

I also avoid the beta branch.

It crashed for me in the party size module.

The mods so far are largely patch mods that fix many broken mechanics and balance issues. We're not talking real mods, it's too early for those obviously.

Sadly even mods won't fix the missing content. Once you get your own holding the game turns into a bit of a slog.

But Is damage speed bonus and malus from projectiles implemented? Javelin speed at max range is super slow and I can dodge with 0 athletics but damage is just high as point blank, same with stones.
Also with crappy starting bow the damage against a fleeing rider back Is the same of the chest against a rider that Is riding against me.
With melee weapon seems far more bigger: a spear with more base damage than starting bow will do 100+ against the rider coming even without couching while will do nearly zero against a fleeing rider.

It is included. It's easy to check the source code with a dll decompiler. Damage calculation is done by the calculating relative speed at the moment of impact and comparing that to starting speed of the missile. The actual damage (before armor) is missile base damage, multiplied by square of speed ratio.

What seems to happen now is whenever anything hostile to you passes near your siege camp the garrison decides to sally out.

Hooray! Gandalf has come in the first light with 20 looters, let's go get 'em.

If that is the case, then the question is whether the speed is calculated correctly.

I didn't delve into the guts of the collision speed calculation, but I have no reason to assume it wouldn't be correct. It's just that a typical impact speed for a swing/thrust is around 10 m/s, so if you add to that a relative speed of 10 m/s, suddenly you get a speed ratio of 2, and thus 4 times the pre armor damage. An arrow has a release speed of around 70 m/s, so adding 10 m/s movement speed to that has a much smaller relative impact.

Is fast dialog mod causing a crash after battle victory for anyone else on newest beta? Oh well, time for a new game start anyways.

I'm not certain focusing on MP bugs at this stage is a good idea.

1.3 seemed to make the game a lot more difficult. Enemies finally don't run around with half their armies being recruits.

This must be the most successful Early Access release. Steamspy says there are at least 5 million Steam users who have bought this game so far, in less than a month.

Because after 8 years people probably assumed it was in a proper almost-finished state...

I knew it was considered early access, but I did assume a more feature complete product than what there is currently. At this point it is fundamentally just the first mount and blade with better graphics, and better sieges. The bulk of all the new features (diplomacy and more role playing elements) are not in the game yet. Some of the systems that will support those elements are in the game (like having kids) but they don't do much by themselves.

If these numbers are true, then with an average price of, let's say, 40 euroshekels, their minimum income so far is literally in the hundreds of millions.

TaleWorlds is probably what's single-handedly keeping the turkish economy afloat right now.

Turks had a pretty solid marketshare of cheap handguns. Recent human malware problem has caused supply to evaporate though, and the realities of international shipping mean they won't be restocked for months.

Dear Codexians, have we identified which Performance options are the most costly... performance wise but also don't affect the image quality so much?
I generally don't have a big problem but in huge battles it lags down

Same. I'm hoping they implement seperate settings for different sized battles. But I imagine that's low on the agenda right now, if it's even on the agenda at all.

Probably the lag spikes on huge battle is caused by AI bugs. THis is pretty much happening a lot in siege as some units ends in a loop and can't move. Is something they did improve recently but are still working on it. About the development time they made their engine for scratch this because in future when the toolset will arrive will be even more versatile for mods.

I see some bad review on steam of idiots that are telling "But is the same as warband but with better graphic!" wow congratulation sherlok this is how a sequel should be. Keeping the roots of the game and improve upn that.
