Does anyone know of a mod or hack or something that removes spellcasting time? So it basically takes like a second or less to cast a spell? So like unlimited quickined spellcasting?

I just finished Swordflight Chapter 1-3 using the Enhanced Edition of Neverwinter Nights! And yes, I signed up just to share this with you folks.

I had forgotten how a good CRPG actually feels like...all it's missing is a proper Zarala romance of course.

Cheers!

PS: Beamdog still sucks though, don't give them your money.

Thanks. I take it you did not run into any serious bugs playing in EE? I still need to find time to properly test Swordflight for EE-releated issues, on top of finding time to get Ch. 4 finished, among other things.

Not a single one! I didn't play through every single side quest though, so there may be stuff I missed. The only thing that really got on my nerves were the hiccups of the UI scaling, but that's on Beamdog. Can't comment on the gameplay balance, because I'm a scrub and had my hands full with survival.

The remark about a Zarala romance was a joke of course, but I sincerely think that the dialogues with her got a bit jarring in the third chapter. Her dismissive and nonchalant attitude towards you is perfectly understandable and even entertaining in the beginning, but after all you did for her and after all you went through together she should hold the PC in very high regard, something that is even represented outside of dialogues through the alignment shifts. And yet the conversations you have with her don't really evolve in that way and the tone stays largely the same.
This lack of tonal shifts makes it unclear from time to time if this behaviour steams from her sheltered upbringing and a kind of innocent but well-meaning naivety that leads to her taking you for granted or if she just likes to tease and joke around or if she maybe is just so convinced of her own destiny that she considers you as a replaceable means to an end, nothing more than a lackey.

I saw you mentioning once that Swordflight just might be one giant escort mission and that's why I think that there is missed potential here, Zarala is the centerpiece of the module and her interactions feel underdeveloped right now.

Overall, I was absolutely amazed by the modules and am just so grateful that someone took it upon himself to craft such a giant adventure for the Forgotten Realms setting. Exploring Calimport for the first time is a kind of revelation that few CRPGs can hope to achieve. Can't wait to see where the story goes now that we are slowly reaching the Sword Coast.
Cheers!

I'm in need of urban adventure modules. Are there any noteworthy out there? I've played ADwR (Betancuria was top notch, lively city with a lot of stuff to explore) and Honor Among Thieves (the city felt un-atmospheric and uninspired to me). So yeah, those are rogue modules but class doesn't matter to me.

Bloodright - The Blood Royal and Cormyrean Nights are also city adventure modules that might be worth trying.

Lankhmar Nights is brilliant but buggy as fuck. I was about 1/4 into the game (approx. 25 hours!) when Fafhrd mysteriously became a faction unto himself and decided that EVERYONE was his mortal enemy, including me - his homoerotically beloved Mouser - and murdered ALL that crossed his path. But it's so good it's worth trying your luck with it. The author still updates it when if you tell him you hit a game-breaking bug. Under the Cobbles is a good city-adventure, or at least I enjoyed it.

Correction: you can't play as the Grey Mouser but you do meet him during the course of the module, and Fafhrd too... unfortunately for me.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I have some of them in my bookmarks. Okay, installing them.

Hey Lads, do we have any good old modules on Steam Workshop for NWN EE ? I want to buy but don't have fuckin 10 h a day to use NMM or other modding shit other that steam shit.
A lot of them require downloading additional hakpacks. Sorry, no bueno.

Learn to use https://neverwintervault.org/

It's not Skyrim modding, takes 5 minutes to download a module and its requirements.

Thanks i was sure that neverwinter vault is dead for years!

The original vault (hosted by IGN I think?) died, this is a community project to revive it. They have migrated all of the files they could access, you will recognize old vault content as being authored by "Migration Wizard". The rest is newer content.
Development has understandably slowed down with the age of the games, but there are still new projects or updates from time to time, and new assets uploaded for your own custom campaigns.

Nah. Beamdog's work is a net positive in terms of relative quality. Almost all of the hate comes from gullible, easily-led manchildren who believe whatever "anti-SJW" (read: SJW) vloggers, reddit, etc. have to say. Actual shitty decisions the devs make are buried amidst whining about trannies and women. People see that on various forums and believe there to be some kind of serious issue with Beamdog. Without looking further into it, they just assume it's true, because why else would people be pissing and moaning so much?

Beamdog isn't perfect, but it isn't a Jewish cabal of communists who want to turn you all into cuckolds either.* Actual shit design decisions have been buried under mountains of gamer nerd idpol from the same subsection of gaming hobbyists who cleave to "gamer" as a legitimate (and "oppressed") identity, which is both creepy as fuck and hilariously ironic.

Gamergaters are basically like Hoteps who are terrified of queers instead of Jews. It's really funny and really stupid and an adult shouldn't fall for their really stupid brand of pathetic nerd identity politics. You instantly throw in with the losers on reddit, 4chan, and 9gag who shriek about how Witcher III is a "hidden gem" and post screenshots of gaming consoles or whatever when you do that.

Their work is usually enjoyable and they're not out to get us -- the shitlick propagandists who make patreon bucks off of weak-minded losers, however, are.

My dear makchanka, we've been hating on Beamdog before Siege of Dragonspear. You're the one derailing with this nonsense at the moment.

Did I mention the words SJW, Jew, tranny, woman or cuckold anywhere in my post you clueless fool? I'm simply not willing to pay $20 of my hard-earned money for an Enhanced Edition that only offers a single worthwhile feature. UI scaling is the only thing of any benefit to the average player and they even managed to fuck this one up, because it regularly breaks the dialogue window if you use it. Wow, what an incredible gift to the world of CRPGs, please let me worship at the altar of Beamdog beside such luminous beings as Makchanka The Munificent.

Oh, of course. The codex hates everything forever for no reason at all. That's fine. That all evens out. That person, however, joined the other day. I doubt they're concerned about the game not having enough oblique angles during cutscenes or having character portraits that are too balanced.

Literally every game publisher sucks. Every single one. Going out of your way to cry about beamdog in particular makes you suspect, because it's a favorite target of retards. It's like, yes, billionaires are all parasitic pieces of shit, but if you constantly whine about Rothschild or Soros in particular, people are going to wonder if you huff glue. It's not certain that you do, of course (because they do suck ass), but if it hoots like a retard and if it reeks like a retard--well, you know.

So forgive me. I only assumed you were a retard because you talk like one.

Hummm, for no reason like removing the original games from sale, getting money from the work of other people and forcing you to play "enhanced" editions of those games that don't enhance anything and producing shit tier unprofessional content? I really enjoy waking up every morning and hating Trent Oster ass because I'm a really mean human being.

That's an awfully strange assumption considering you joined last year yourself.

Oh, now I get it, Beamdog got from the business of profiting on other people IP to selling other people mods, Bethesda is proud.

Unfortunately Neverwinter's corpse was already used for a Online Only cheap imitation game to wrack in loot crate dollars.. So Beamdog needs a new business model.. Neverwinter 76 was already stolen.
