Singularity is a "a third person action-RPG set in a dismal cyberpunk future", being developed by White Knuckles Games. There are some screenshots at the site, but no mentioning of gameplay mechanics.

The trend of corporate mergers has continued. Most of the regulatory entities that should have kept it in check have been dismantled, bribed, or absorbed in the process. There now exist only a handful of corporate giants called mega-corporations. For as long as the new generation can remember, the mega-corps have been in constant competition. War would be a better term, but that’s not the way they like to portray it. Inside, people both live and work, buying into the entire brand created by their respective corporation.

Those that have forsaken the super-commercialist lifestyle generally live in shanties and abandoned areas between the massive sprawls of the mega-corps. They make their living fulfilling generic roles in their primitive society. Some of the more ambitions ones with unique skill sets hire themselves out to the mega-corps to fulfill jobs that are generally too underhanded, dirty, or laborious for the corporate in-house pursuits.

The Net has continued to grow, and has become the single place for distribution and acquisition of any information. Corporate citizens are connected to the Net 24/7 in various degrees of embedment. Not a moment goes by that the Net isn’t used in some form or another. It ensures the temperature of your apartment is regulated for you. It monitors the ambient air temperature and sun exposure, and recommends to the housing division of your mega-corp when you should be relocated to a south facing apartment because you like it a few degrees warmer than the average corporate citizen. It tells you to walk and don’t walk.

As the Net has evolved, so have the hackers. They have been at the forefront of the development of the net, and have been the early adopters of new, even controversial, forms of technology. Always looking for faster and more efficient methods to interface with their terminals, and ultimately the Net, they have adapted the neuro-induction devices (NID) as their primary form of interface. The most elite have even undergone procedures for direct neuro stimulation, despite the rumors of countless deaths and brain-deaths resulting from these controversial surgeries.

Sounds cool: mega-corporations, the all-controlling Net, and the haxors. Hopefully, the gameplay doesn't suck too badly.

Pretty much vanilla cyberpunk, but it beats vanilla fantasy.

EDIT: "Singularity is a third person action-RPG set in a dismal cyberpunk future. It is a very story driven single player game with emphasis on the action. The target platforms are PC and X-Box."

Ah, well, that's somewhat less encouraging. Still, could be fun, I guess.

I thought Harbinger was a Diablo style space action game.

Actually, it sounds more like Deus Ex. The first one anyway. Didnt play IW.

Eh, Major... I think Senõr Hand was agreeing with you in claming that Rex had it wrong, but he also added that he more thought Singularity gave him a Deus Ex vibe. I certainly didn't get anything screaming "Harbinger" from looking at the screenies...
