Oh hey, Daedalic is alive: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/press...les_To_Be_Announced_Over_The_Coming_Weeks.php

They're going to reveal six new titles soon, including turn-based RPG and classic adventure, also some "AAA" productions o_O

Daedalic Entertainment Reveals Biggest Ever Lineup With Six New Titles To Be Announced Over The Coming Weeks

Hamburg, February 6 th 2019 – Award Winning publisher, Daedalic Entertainment reveals their most ambitious and diverse lineup ever. Over the coming weeks, the German publisher will reveal more than six brand new titles, spanning a multitude of genres – from turn-based RPG, co-op roguelike, survival-MMO and classic adventure experiences.

“2019 will be by far the most successful year in the history of our studio, we’ve never had a more diverse and substantial portfolio. We continue to build & move forward by diversifying our line-up with high-quality titles across different genres,” says Carsten Fichtelmann, CEO and founder of Daedalic Entertainment. “I am not only talking about our publishing division here. We have development teams in-house working on AAA-projects on a scale that will astonish our fans and media. With IPs like this, we aim to create a stir that goes beyond the gaming industry.”

Going forward, Daedalic will put even more emphasis on supporting their titles, Fichtelmann continues. “Naturally, we have closely monitored the shift towards Games-as-a-Service in the last few years and a big part of our line-up fits this approach perfectly. We want to offer players high-quality content for these games over months and years after release.”

Long time fans of Daedalic’s trademark adventure games will be well catered for throughout 2019 as well: “Adventures have always been a cornerstone of our success. Our community can look forward to some of our most popular and iconic titles becoming available for consoles throughout the year.”

Plans to bring the Deponia series to console were already announced for with Goodbye Deponia being available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One launching just last week. The award-winning VR-Psycho-Thriller Intruders: Hide and Seek, the first of many new publishing titles to come, releases for PlayStation VR digitally on February 13th 2019.

Daedalic Entertainment to announce six new titles in the coming weeks

Publisher promises biggest year ever, including in-house AAA productions.

Daedalic Entertainment will announce six new titles over the coming weeks, and promised that 2019 will host its “most ambitious and diverse” lineup ever, ranging from “new IP to old classics coming to console and in-house AAA productions.”

The six titles planned to be announced in the coming weeks span a variety of genres, including turn-based RPG, cooperative roguelike, survival MMO, and classic adventure.

On the topic of the publisher’s 2019 lineup, Daedalic Entertainment CEO and founder Carsten Fichtelmann said in a press release, “2019 will be by far the most successful year in the history of our studio, we’ve never had a more diverse and substantial portfolio. We continue to build and move forward by diversifying our line-up with high-quality titles across different genres. I am not only talking about our publishing division here. We have development teams in-house working on AAA projects on a scale that will astonish our fans and media. With IPs like this, we aim to create a stir that goes beyond the gaming industry.”

Going forward, Daedalic plans to put more emphasis on post-launch support of its titles. “Naturally, we have closely monitored the shift towards Games-as-a-Service in the last few years and a big part of our line-up fits this approach perfectly,” Fichtelmann said. “We want to offer players high-quality content for these games over months and years after release.”

Fitchelmann also assured that Daedalic still plans to deliver its trademark adventure games throughout the year. “Adventures have always been a cornerstone of our success. Our community can look forward to some of our most popular and iconic titles becoming available for consoles throughout the year.”

Goodbye Deponia, the third adventure in the Deponia series, launched for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 30. Intruders: Hide and Seek, a PlayStation VR-compatible thriller developed by the Madrid-based Tessera Studios, will be “the first of many new [Daedalic] publishing titles to come” when it launches on February 13.

Let's hope the turn-based RPG they're announcing will be more in the vein of Blackguards 1 than Blackguards 2.

Second announcement is, surprise, Daedalic will publish Iratus: Lord of the Dead. Codex subforum here.

Evil returns, and its name is Iratus.

An inversion to the classic heroic tale, Iratus: Lord of the Dead lets players use fallen foes to create fearsome monsters for their personal army. With a heavy focus on strategic combat, Iratus is a complex and rewarding experience for those with dubious ethics and a love of dark fantasy. Brought to you by Unfrozen Studios, a newly formed studio of industry veterans who worked on the games such as the Disciples franchise.

As the eponymous necromancer, Iratus has players take the rein of a reviled mage returning from the void of death. After years of the tedium that comes being dead, Iratus returns to restart his quest of world domination. With bundles of bones, souls and squishy bits, Iratus brings back his army the only way he knows how...

So this is the turn-based RPG they teased? Good for devs, but disappointing it is not a new RPG from them.

Well, at least they have "classic" adventure game(s) to announce. Maybe the secret thing Poki (Deponia creator) is working on.

Nope. It was announced earlier that DD2.

Something like May 2018.

Sure, I mean this announcement of publishing deal. Though it looks like these "Biggest Ever Lineup" reveals getting very little attention from press anyway...

This week's announcement, another already announced indie game. But interesting nonetheless.:

Overcome crisis and the unrelenting pressure of a frozen ocean. Flee or fight alien lifeforms, explore a strange new world in Jupiter’s orbit, command your crew and craft equipment in this tense 2D co-op experience.

In the not too distant future, where habitable places have become scarce, humanity has arrived on Europa. This moon with its frozen surface is a hostile environment, and life can only be found in the dark ocean below – and the small pockets of human habitation are not the only form of life to be found there.

Play as a submarine crew member tasked with managing the many onboard systems from nuclear reactors to sonar, guns, engines and more. Create tools, drugs and weapons with the comprehensive crafting system and learn to overcome the many dangers along the way. Procedural levels and events ensure no two games will ever be exactly alike.

Remaining three unannounced games are...: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/press...ALS_FULL_LIST_OF_GAMES_COMING_TO_PAX_EAST.php

Additional unannounced adventure, narrative and multiplayer survival RPG titles from Daedalic will also be playable on the show floor.

So adventure and narrative games? (Ignore multiplayer survival RPG here.) If the narrative game is something like The Pillars of the Earth, then I guess the adventure game is (hopefully) more like the classic Daedalic games. Maybe Poki's new game.

This week's announcement is a multiplayer survival game, CryoFall. This is also previously announced indie game:

:hmmm:

So this means the remaining adventure and narrative games are the in-house "AAA-projects"? Ah well.

And is this the adventure/narrative game? Ahhhhh well. This is NOT Daedalic's in-house game but from a Russian indie team called Caligari Games.

The Great Perhaps tells the story of an astronaut returning to Earth destroyed by natural cataclysms.

There, among the ruins he finds an unusual artifact — an old lantern, in the light of which you can see glimpses of another time and travel to the past.

Experience constant time traveling between an empty, melancholic scenery of the post-apocalyptic Earth and its vivid days gone by.

The hero will face the danger in the post-apocalyptic present, as well as in the past. Help him on his journey to find out the true cause of the disaster and save the planet!

Features
  • Challenging puzzles and mini-games based around time travel
  • Experience the gripping atmosphere of a post-apocalyptic world based on Soviet aesthetics
  • Innovative storytelling which binds together the past and the present
  • Memorable characters with personal stories
  • Original interactive soundtrack which adapts to each timeline
  • Wistful hand-drawn 2D art style

So with the RTS being developed in-house, these are all six games then.

Poki's game will be much later I guess!
