Yeah, honestly the difficulty slider in FO3 (and apparently in NV) is pointless. All it did (does) is make enemies take an inordinately large amount of damage to go down. It isn't particularly challenging or fun. Hopefully hardcore mode also makes ammo and items more scarce on top of the basic survival aspects. Even using the Wanderer's mod on FO3 it still wasn't interesting/challenging enough.

Gah, fucking fast-travel in hardcore mode

It's been known that your dehydration meter will lower significantly when you fast travel, along with some other stuff. So you may die after fast traveling if you're not prepared for it.

You can't die *during* fast traveling though, I think the game just doesn't allow it if you really can't.

Hmm looks like they're reusing some of the tracks from the previous games. Just heard BOS music from FO1.

Yes remastered tracks. For whatever reason Mark Morgan couldn't work on NV, or Bethesda wouldn't allow it or whatever the fuck happened.

Both parties accepted reuse of FO1/FO2 tracks, however.

I think it's a pretty fucking good idea. Since most of the console audience didn't play FO1 or FO2, it's new music for them.

For the people who did play FO1 or FO2, it's nice to hear the tracks again. It'll distract us from the Inon Zur shit.

Moo?
One of the livestream assholes just walked into a casino and started blowing everyone away with a grenade launcher.

Wonder if he'll complain that it broke quests?

Inon Zur is indeed shit. Didn't feel like Fallout at all. Fallout's atmosphere is alot less EPIC!!!111 and more subtle and introspective.

Hmm, I haven't been following NV at all so I hadn't heard of "hardcore" mode until now. It does sound kind of interesting, but some aspects of it sound more like "annoying" mode. Guess we'll see.
