GameZone has up a review of that turn based tactical CRPG with the magic and such set in modern Russia known as Night Watch. The score is a lackluster 6.3/10 and apparently has quite a few glitches and faults. For example, in the plot department:

In the game you play the role of Stas who starts off the game in an attempt to assassinate a girl to earn some money. Soon the plot unfolds with members of both Day Watch and Night Watch getting involved to stop the attempt on the girl’s life. Now I’m going to mention a spoiler in the game but I think it’s key to how the game plays out. Stas discovers that he is an Other and joins the Light Others. Now I know you might be saying “Gee Thanks for ruining it for me” but let me explain why you need to know this plot development. Stas discovers he’s an Other almost at the beginning of the game but soon starts bragging about his powers and even offering to train a new Other. Now I’m not a professional writer nor have I written science-fiction stories turned into movies but isn’t there a little thing called character development?

Be nice if you could develop the character yourself. You know, pick a side at the very least?

Well, not so much offer as, 'is force to train', or rather, 'the other newbie is along on your missions'.

What's actually worse is, as of mission #2, your' just introduced into the other world and completely clueless' character is spouting off expert knowledge of anything and everything to do about Others. Except, of course, when he is completely clueless about them for plot purposes. And the writing is fairly disjointed and unclear... to the point that for one early mission I wasn't sure if I had escaped from the bad guys and was sneaking through a sewer, or captured and put in prison and trying to escape from that.

But, the game is pretty fun. How often do you get to telekinetically hurl a werewolf through a shop window?
