More re-releases from Mirrorsoft.

Legend of the Sword (1988):

And its sequel, The Final Battle (1990):

Who's behind this? Throwback Entertainment, who probably acquired Mirrorsoft assets while buying Acclaim IPs, registered Mirrorsoft trademark in 2017. But Liquid Media Group bought 65 Acclaim titles from Throwback in 2018. Since Throwback has been doing (seemingly unsuccessfully) re-release business under its own name, I'd guess this Mirrorsoft thing is that Liquid Media Group's label.

It was Throwback Entertainment after all: https://mirrorsoft.com/

Another Mirrorsoft release, Battle Master:

The world was enmeshed in a terrible conflict. Humans mistrusted Dwarves, Dwarves hated Elves, Elves despised Orcs, and Orcs hated everyone. The rivers ran with the blood of battle and the land stank only of death. Civilization was spiraling towards decay.

AND THEN THE WATCHER CAME.

He prophesied that a leader would emerge from the south. A leader brave enough to stand face to face with dragons and survive, shrewd enough to solve the most complex enigmas and experienced enough to know when to parley and when to fight. He would be someone familiar with magic, capable of intelligent strategy who would buy, loot and barter with one single aim, to gather a powerful force of men, win back the four king's crowns and restore the world to everlasting peace.

The Watcher has issued his challenge. Dare you take it up?:
  • Top quality arcade action.
  • A huge, detailed fantasy world to explore – complete with castles, villages and underground mines.
  • 16 different leaders from 4 different races to choose from devious puzzles, fiendish traps, countless magic objects.
  • Fight, negotiate or trade for extra troops.
  • Adopt your own battle formations.

I can see DOS re-releases, but for the rest...These people are aware emulators exist, right? Did I wake up in some alternate universe where the BLEEM! court ruling went the other way and byuu is in prison for fucking a Super Famicom?

Cool looking shmup games originally released on GBA, re-released by the original publisher Majesco. Somehow Piko is involved in this re-release:

To be honest what's the (commercial) worth of Darklands? Stop selling on GOG probably cuts half of its current worth. Maybe it's the rights to make a game named Darklands, but whatever this Ziggurat/Cosmi Corporation/ValuSoft entity still does not register the trademark. In fact it's still registered by Billion Soft (Retroism) as far as the trademark system cares. (The same for Slave Zero.)

Mirror, mirror, another Mirrorsoft re-release is Interphase (1989), an early first person 3D game, by The Assembly Line. Literally cyberspace game and you play Chad:

ss_ad6074865a77b31936fe93d6dac1565ae800a039.600x338.jpg

The dreams of the future are now reality; fully trained professionals whose purpose is to create optically stored REM moments - dreams to obliterate the cares of waking thought.

Yet the DreamTrack Corporation have created an insidious implant within the latest DreamTrack that is being mastered for release within the labyrinth of the Corporation's mainframe complex.

As a rogue dreamer, you have to enter the mainframe and direct your partner to the track itself - the minds of every future generation will be trusting to your skill and intellect.

Taking the role of Chad, it's up to you to guide your partner, Kaf-E, safely through the complex security system to the top of the building. Once at the top she must collect the correct DreamTrack from the vaults before making her way back down through the building to the exit.
  • Navigate the maze like interior of DreamTrack Corporation's Mainframe.
  • Pilot your way through twisting Tunnels avoiding Data Lines.
  • Avoid Security Drones trying to capture you.
  • Locate and Destroy Obstacles blocking your path.
