It may take a longer time for a person with autism to realize that one type of mining blocks and pointlessly doing shit is more worser than the other kind of mining blocks and pointlessly doing shit.

    Don't be such ablist scum.

It's slimier to sell people less than half of what you promised. If this game was disappointing, yet all that was promised then maybe. Especially because you had fanboys shouting at reviewers with 20+ hours of playtime, telling them they're not qualified to review because they haven't played long enough. And don't forget it's a game that was sold on things getting better/wackier the closer you got to the center.

HG deserves this. Can't blame people for pushing through to center of the galaxy to see if it gets any better once they passed the usual threshold for refunds.

This is no legal advice, but let me try to explain it this way. If you order a bottle of Champagne and someone sends you piss water, it should not matter much what you do with his water. I think courts are used to this kind of situation and could consider the residual value of the software as completely irrelevant. I.e. there is one party that breached the contract in the first place by advertising a product and then selling something completely different. In that case it does not matter much what the other party does, as the contract is not fullfilled and the responsible party has to make up for damage.

Another example would be if I sell you the Eiffel Tower. A court could decide that unless I provide it to you, I must pay compensations. In that case it does not matter much what I delivered unless you gave your consent. Yet another example, it is a quite frequent tactics with shady ebay traders that you buy a pink tutu and then they send you a black dingdong. You can look comfortably forward to such a case in court if you just send them a letter that you have a dingdong that belongs to them, and that they are still required to either send the pink tutu or compensate you.

If you get a bottle of piss and drink it all you're a fucking idiot and must have clearly enjoyed it.

Begging for a refund after spending that much hours in a goddamn game is just hypocritical.

If they give refunds after 50h - it's their own problem. As for people who want it after 50h - it's good too, such scam should be punished.

You should join the NMS fanboys on Steam. They've been singing this tune all along.

Steam, Sony and Amazon clearly disagree with your opinions, so it's irrelevant. I'll side with the people whose job it is to take my money in this situation.

It's not about me being a NMS fanboy, because I am not, I had fun playing it and now I moved on to another game.

I just think it's stupid to think a refund is justified after spending more than two whole days in a game, if you somehow thought stuff was going to change after those 2 hours you're a goddamn moron, since a lot of stuff was already known about it before the PC release.

How long someone played the game is still irrelevant, though. It's not the game that was promised. Anything else is just fluff.

It's stupid to think HG should get to keep the money for a product so falsely advertised.

People who played it for 50h are their biggest fans - they believed they will find promised features till the last hour :smug:

Past experience should tell that "procedural" and "promised features" can't go into the same phrase. But of course no man learns.

Also Frozen Synapse guy is a fucking moron. And by moron I think mentally deficient. Here's an experiment. You are served a meal, but before you get to eat you are told most ingredients were removed but you are not told what. OH I GET IT THE COOKS HAVE TO WORK ON A TIMETABLE SO THEY HAVE TO REMOVE STUFF. THATS FINE LOL. You are given an empty plate. BUT IT HAPPENS. COOKS LOL MAN. COCKS.

it's very simple to explain actually: most of world population is composed by retards. true retards. real retards. when i was a kid i'd have never thought such degree of stupidity could exist.
schools aren't teaching tools anymore, they aren't proving grounds, kids and teens don't fail anymore, instead the stupider the better, they keep being pushed forward because the percentage of people with a degree is more important than what these people actually learnt.
back when i was a kid, just 30 years ago, such stupidity was "punished", treated, "ma'am, your kid has issues" said by a competent teacher wasn't followed by "i'll sue you" but "how can we help him?". now we have retarded and ignorant teachers who keep producing retarded and ignorant people which are much easily controlled by a society which keeps selling shit. after all, how could a retard understand if what he's eating is shit or not?
30 years, just 30 years, and we're living in a society of retards for retards. true retards.
i worked in tv, with lots of people. more often than not i asked myself "how can even this person breathe by himself?", and i'm not some kind of genius by a long shot. because they have to be protected, they need to have more rights to a decent life than a decent person does, because the decent person must be crushed, so that the next nms can sell millions without effort. and so can nicky minaj and taylor swift. adam sandler and ben stiller. donald trump and hillary clinton.

Of course devs are gonna defend other devs, what did you expect? The saying "Don't shit where you eat" isn't said without a reason.

Most of the people in the industry are keeping their mouths shut because they don't want to piss off poteantial customers and their friends.

Tried X3 Terran Conflict. What an incredibly boring game. I did a bit of the tutorial. Even with time jump your ship feels like a snail trying to move forward. There is no cockpit (though there's a mod for that apparently). Combat felt about as exciting as shooting targets with a small caliber rifle with your eyes blindfolded.

I remember back when Freelancer came out people complained it was simplistic. Fine, but atleast the ships felt like they actually moved, controls were logical and combat felt fast-paced.

This, no no no. Is X Rebirth faster, or should I not bother?
