"Balanced" is the honk honk of game design.

In fairness its not just Poe and Obsidian that suffers from this, the current vogue amongst devs seems to be to eject anything thats even slightly flawed rather than improving on it. Reinventing the wheel.

Getting different XP bars/skillpoints for different things will be interesting, like getting xp for combat, speechcraft, crafting etc etc.

My natural instinct in games to attack anything that looks like bad. Of course I want XP. But treasure XP would be nice as well like in old D&D.

If nothing else elder scrolls games do have original and realistic levelling.

Especially that part when you do a retarded routine of jumping for 5 minutes, then slamming a wall with fireball for 5 minutes, then repeatedly gutting someone with a rusty fork then healing them for 5 minutes in order to get all +5 to stats at level up

Have no idea what you are talking about, don't assume that everyone is playing like you.

PS:That sounds like some authistic retardation. I just go and buy a few levels in a skill if i needed to get that +5. Also you could hold off levelling for as much as you want, thus there was never a rush for that +5.

But brigands will not get proper loot, and you'd be screwed up by not having money, and not having proper skills and equipment to handle these brutal enemies that didn't scaled to your level.

Yeah, preferably till the end of the game, to make sure the rusty knife-wielding brigands don't get replaced with daedra lords.
Don't be that insecure mate,i am not saying that the games are some masterpieces of art. The levelling system of advancing trough doing is a good idea.

Game designers balancing games around people who choose to abuse mechanics is the leading cause of fun decline
