If I have one nitpick it's that he portraits don't double as health bars :rpgcodex:
They do, but it isn't health, it's stamina.

The health bar is on the left side of the portrait.

It would be just plain stupid to create new "groundbreaking" classes in a kickstarter funded project which didn't specify it. Also, very risky. I don't think these guys can risk much, which you can tell by how much PoE looks like BG.

So? Do you think pointing out that I'm butthurt means anything? Call me an apologist, call me butthurt, you're still a moron incapable of explaining why something is bad, which is why you're limited to sarcasm and smileys until you drop the point and move on.
The faster you realize that the reasoning behind my argument doesn't matter the faster you'll be able to look at it instead of targeting me with your ad hominem.

Personally, I think classic high fantasy like that is rare, especially in my lifetime. I'm also appreciative of a variety, a game isn't bad because it's familiar. I can appreciate a goofy approach like Larian took, the weird and unknown of torment, and the tried and true of PoE.
You can't, so fuck off and play something else.:retarded:

Something we've added since the last time you saw this: Any dialogue options that your character doesn't qualify for, you can optionally have it say "Hey buddy, if you had a higher Lore, there would be an option here." It gives you insight into "Oh, cool, I could build my character different ways and get all these other responses." If you're super pro, you can turn it off. You can just hide all that stuff, hide all the feedback. Some of the players like the "purist" experience where they just read the lines, they don't want to know there are secrets there.

So they are not creating game for superpros but for common rabble that want everything know at the first play-trough.

Can't wait to see those comments from IGN:

- It is very annoying that game tells me that there is other option but i can't actually choose it.

Annoying inconsistencies in writing.

[Sometimes they end with a dot.]
[Sometimes they don't]

Also, death godlike looks SUPER STUPID. I laughed at how stupid it looked.

I hope they have a factory setting with HP balls turned off, difficulty being set to "as intended", combat being normal BG-RTwP and locked no-zoom camera.
I also really hope you're able to expand the text log in the bottom right corner.

Really surprised to see so much knockdown and "cannot control character"-states, even this early in the game. IIRC Sawyer once said he didn't like disabling effects of that kind.

Other than these annoyances: :bounce:

The combat looks exactly how I imagined it. Same old clusterfuckish feel of IE but now with more micromanagement. I even had some flashbacks of Lionheart. Here's hoping the rest of the game delivers. Also those portraits look cheap as hell.

Stuff that I liked:

- the fact that (allegedly) each attribute is relevant in some way to every class.
- the fact that just because you get a special option during dialogue based on your build does not mean that it's necessarily the right one
- the game is pretty to look at

It does look very good. My only complaint is that everything seems to have too much hp/stamina, so things die slowly. Also fighter classes seem boring just like in the old IE games where you just click on the enemy and wait (occasionally toggling power attack or something). Definitely gonna make a caster.

He only opposes them if they're permanent or have very long durations.

Oh wait, so green bar is health, and the red over portrait is stamina?

I appreciate that they show the type of personalities behind the dialogue, tone doesn't always translate well when in text. Nice to know exactly what it is my character is saying.

Neogaf morons are complaining about too much handholding (Because of those two companion dialouges during the puzzle) and that it isn't enough like Divinity.

Which is kinda like complaining that the Infinity games weren't enough like Ultima.
