Heh, I know what you mean. Too bad the majority of the basement dwellers and morbid overachievers here don't. :smug:

You're just one of those "cold hearted players who hate love in videogames". They want "really really deep" romance lines - like the ones in BG2.

How deep? 10 inch? 15? 20? There are entire websites dedicated to this kind of "depth". These people should cut out the middle man and go find them.:troll:

Yeeaaah, romances in BG2 were very deep derp indeed. BG2 is also very good example on how romances basicly decreased the other interaction. Romanceable characters didn't basicly have anything else to talk with the player, if you told them "Not interested", there weren't really any banter after that.

Ah yes, that strange phenomenon I keep seeing here and there.

But you're perfectly free to do as you please with your money, bro.

I wake up and I see that shit thread again. For a lovable cute mascot I sure have a lot of desire to torch that entire place.

Edit: Also I just saw MCA at the end of that video. You know, it's weird that he writes the things he does. Sometimes you really can't tell what a person would be like from the works they produce.

God bless you for being able to not give in to the burning hatred. :salute:

I don't remember if Kagain had it but as soon as you hit 20 CON (possible due to stat increases in BG 2 or due to being a dwarf in BG 1 and reading a manual of constitution) you'd regen 1 HP / round or so, and 1 more for each point of CON above 20 up to 25.

I imagine it's the same in IWD, but I don't remember if there were manuals of constitution in that game.

Yes, it's from 2nd ed AD&D rules. CON 20+ gives regeneration. Works in all IE games.

It's not popamole; it's next to impossible to get 20 CON and by the time you do you really don't need it because enemies are doing a _lot_ more damage than it could possibly help you with. (Yeah yeah, you're just using the term jokingly. But the romance thread is making me snappy.)

It's a fun little perk that's neat-o in the off-chance you made a dwarf with 19 CON in BG 1- and then you still have to find the manual. It's handy if you solo, though, because it saves you a tiny bit of time.

That thread would make me rage so hard if I gave a fuck either way.

Though I admit Obsidian would get some ++respect points with me if all the romances (asuming there are any) end up in the PC getting LJBF'ded. The tears and lamentation on their forums would be glorious to behold.

Or they could just do a Romance DLC. Then the sane people could just ignore that fucking shit. Period.

$5 per romance. Why not? Could be a great way for them to get addition funding for an expansion. :smug:

I'm sorry Jaesun but I think that'd be retarded. I just want & expect Ziets/MCA to do their thing, along with Sawyer overseeing it. I'm 99% sure none of us would rage at whatever "romance" that produces; but it'll be not quite what the romance-tards in that thread are clamoring for. They just want to have the option to fuck every party member. Jesus.

Also outsource that to the Bioware fanfic writers, they would probably work for free so that they get their lousy writing to the game and make those idiots happy. :smug:

Even better: The "romance" ends up into a LJBF situtation. They can milk this even further: DLCs for DLCs. Get Out Of The Friend Zone DLC for only $4.99!
