Sounds like an awesome setting for that Mage the Ascension game I keep begging for. Verbena and Dreamspeakers everywhere, plenty of werewolves outside town, the possibility of technocratic involvement in land development, and it's not unreasonable that there would be few or no vampires (WoD vampires tend to prefer medium to large towns at minimum; it's easier to stay hidden that way). You could even throw in a slasher from nWoD. Add in some hunters to potentially pursue the player and give the player a mystery to solve, and you'd have a pretty solid game.

From the sounds of things, he would fit right in with the average talent level of Bioware and Bethesda.

How much would you increase your kickstarter backing if they spread their chest-vaginas and sucked multiple NPCs in?

The lack of a backer portal today suggests that I was correct about Obsidian's disingenuity. It wasn't and isn't ready.

I'm sure some willfully blind fans will claim it's all ready to go and they're only just saving the announcement for a Tuesday, but that would require Obsidian Entertainment to be managed by people with a severe case of OCD.

One day delay isn't serious though. I could imagine them to waiting until tomorow purely on habit. If it's ready but they wait until TWO weeks have passed, well that's realy severe case of OCD.

Delay? They didn't announce it for today and they have been doing the tuesday thing since after the kickstarter. Of course they are not going away from that shedule. And they probably made the backer portal part of the update, so its certainly not going to be released whenever.

I know. I was saying that to Roguey. But if they don't do the update tomorow and wait for the next week instead, either they didn't finish it like Roguey said, or they have OCD like Roguey said.

Why not? There's nothing stopping them from making an exception. I think "the backer portal's up and we have a video" speaks for itself, they don't need long paragraphs of text to go with it.

Nothing stops them posting the update Friday either. Why should they? As i said above, one day before or after won't make any difference, so why not stick on scedule?

I'm with Roguey. They've already abandoned the 'every two weeks on Tuesday' schedule, since they plan on releasing this update sooner than that - and the last 'update' was basically an apology (in the form of new screenshots) for not posting the true update.

You guys are retarded. There's a good shot they'll delay it, but there was no reason or indication they would release it tonight.

A lot of companies give people Friday off too, either officially or if they ask for it, so they had a four-day weekend there. Well, those people should be back to solve the technical issues, so if it was ready as of last Tuesday, why delay it any further?

    Tuesday is the important part.

It wasn't always two weeks. That mainly got in to free up some space. Since the update is already ready it will most likely release tomorrow. But there was ZERO chance they would have just thrown it out randomly today.

The tuesday is the update thing is at this point also a psychological concern. Theres a reason they have done this so far.

Why not???? That's OCD-thinking. No one but the OCDiest of people would get upset over a Monday update.

For the same reason people (including me) get/got upset when at a promised tuesday no update/no real update got released.

For the same reason pr shedules exist.

It's nothing the average fan has to care about, but its certainly something a company needs to.

It's like opening a present a day early. They even could have used that analogy (if the site were ready, which it is not).

One more thing to consider: people get hyped for Tuesday, not for Monday. There's a camp-out thread for the next update, for instance. It's got nothing to do with OCD. They know that people will be looking for the update exactly then and they know that the hype-level is at an all-time-high before every update. I would do it exactly the same.
