<blockquote>Matrix Games and Henderson Field Designs are proud to release a significant new update for their award winning WWII Pacific Theatre mega game, War in the Pacific &ndash; Admiral&rsquo;s Edition! The new comprehensive 1.01.06i is the first major data update since the release, with dozens of fixes and improvements through the game data for equipment, ships, planes, units and scenarios.  Please note that you will need to start a new game to see the full effect of these data fixes and improvements.  A few code fixes are also included, which will apply to all games.

<blockquote>It took us some time, but here it is. Again, this is mostly bug fixing. No new major functionality has been implemented. But the list of bugs fixed (and some balancing changes) is not that short either. For those of you who don&rsquo;t know the drill: Download the new version (its a full package, not a patch). Extract to a new folder. Optionally run the extractor. Finally, copy your saves from 0.96 into 0.97 if you have any. As always &ndash; report bugs on the forum.

This patch seems to improve the stability a lot. They found and fixed several major bugs that had been causing crashing. Each patch keeps adding features as well.

I like Star Ruler. I made sure to not remove it from inventory first(as so many 4X games these days seem to be released barely finished and then to make it worse are barely supported), but with all the effort done to support it, I think I'll throw them a bone, as it is a different and enjoyable enough experience compared to the usual style of 4X game. Reminds me a bit of Hegemonia crossed with Homeworld more than sterile SOSE ever did.
