Eh you can have a 3 some or you can just romance half elf. No word on cucking, just really degenerate life/sex style. It's weird how cuck fetish is so widespread in americas.

 

The barbarian is an established characters in the Pathfinder world, so they don't have the creative control to write her a romance.

Also the dev says there is a high chance the DLC will have more companions, but new romance is still in discussion.

 

DLC? What? The game's not even out yet ffs.

Screw the modern times.

 

I don't think it's widespread at all, but it's definitely a meme. The idea that the player (theoretically male) would invite a burly orc to bone his girl seems too close to be an accident. Plus, we all know if the game featured two hot lesbians inviting the player to join them there would be meltdowns from the usual suspects.

 

Erm, that's an interesting associative thread right there..........

 

They already have the season pass, and it only includes the "first three dlcs".

It's a pretty shitty move.

What's that obsession with romances? I liked it only in Divine Divinity, where you can marry one elf and get a ring from all that. What's the benefit here, will they fight better for you?

 

Baldur's Gate 2 did it and it was popularly received. Plus you know, love and romance are a big part of life, so if a game is trying to be "immersive" it makes sense.

 

Also the fact that most of the target audience are basement dweller virgins.

 

I'd say it's more because of newer Bioware games.

Greetings fellow Codexers, this upcoming cRPG called Kingmaker certainly looks interesting! Let me just browse this thread for a bit.

 

In Russia we sometimes use word's penis holder ( translit on russian) or shkura, it's similar to thot or I quess cum dump.
Oh yeah, dev noted in the ru forums that romance will span trough chapters. So it's not like POE2 romances when they decide to show you their wee wee's and pee pee's out of the blue.

 

I'm a firm believer in "the hero always gets the girl" philosophy. Also I don't particularly care about the romance itself but I want my character to at least leave descendants behind before he dies, which is particularly important in this game where you become a monarch.

What a weird way to play. Do you always need a + 30 to dick size or something in order to do anything in a RPG?

Well that's one we know for sure. She's a slave, and you know quite handsome in the way. It's easy to imagine what kind of pyramids and obelisks she erected while in captivity.

 

It is incredibly hard to make romance worse than Deadfire. The would have to try really hard to make it shit as possible,knowingly. I can't imagine having worst writing than Obsidian at this point. If that happens.....well i will be contemplating about joining a monastic order and selling my shit.


Neanderthal I found something you might like to listen to while playing the game .

 

I'm torn... on the one hand, I wish they had picked better candidates for the romances. On the other hand, I have low expectations for the quality of the writing in those romances anyway. On a third hand (post-nuclear mutation, yo), I'd prefer a better selection of companions for even my low quality romances.

My decline is complete. Just give me a waifu who can string words together in a halfway coherent fashion and I guess I'll be happy and sail into the west.

 

I mean, in the KOTORs, brainwashing "motivating" your companions gave benefits, even fighting ones.

About the DLCs, as long as they implement all classes properly, screw their shitty companions. Screw them!

Also, I'm very capable of playing through the game solo, I think... all the experience for me mwarharhar.
