Dreamscarred material is incredibly polished, it's evident they know what they are doing. I would go so far as to say that Path of War and Ultimate Psionics can rival some first party stuff, regarding quality. I also think that these two handbooks would fare very well in a crpg adaptation, due to the incredible amount of options they offer to the player.

Spheres of Power is so much fun... I can't say much about the overall balance because I haven't tested it thoroughly, but it surely is a creative system.

Sounds about like how Camellia will play out. She gets Ghost Touch at min/activation out of the gate and Bane Weapon around lvl six, plus Hexes.

Oh, I think you may be right. I don't see anything about dragons going monk.

The Aegis and Soulknife from Psionics are two of my favourite concepts for classes. I really like full martial classes with a twist.

If someone modded them into Kingmaker/Wrath it would be awesome.

Efe There is the Green Dragon though:
    >They are always seeking to improve themselves both physically and mentally. Physically they undertake vigorous exercise regimes up to and including sparring with other dragons while mentally they undertake rigorous studies.
Sounds like a monk to me :)

NWN Dragonform + Monk levels. It was a boring character to play, but it was there.

Why not have a game with only fighters if every other class needs to be ruined so hard? It will be perfectly balanced...

    Ohhh wait, i described nwn2.

Because all of them are adapted in CRPG yeah. Sure.

EDI: and really most of those spells do shit in CRPGs. Look at PfK or NWN. Those low level spells? Most of them are barely worth using.

how would casters fare if they could enchant wands with 50 charges similar to knights of the chalice.

Casters are fine. If they could enchant wands, that will just make them even more valuable in a party.

Craft magical weapons and armor can be a interesting thing to add to the game. But the balancelords would hate if sorcerers/wizards can craft magical items(even if they can be used by their weapon focused martial classes which are the unique way to play any game for then), imagine crafting a glove who adds 2d6 elemental damage to monk's punches. Robes that allow the user to cast defensive spells like mirror image...

It's a mixed bag. You're essentially allowing someone to craft their way around class design. There isn't really a good way to balance it. It can be great fun, but that's usually because it's broken. Wizards at level cap n Temple of Elemental Evil who craft wands practically cast without limitation. Being at level cap is the best time for shenanigans, but still, it can make some of the endgame trivial rather than momentous.

D&D 5E has done a good job with wands/rods/staffs though. They have daily charges that are just enough for several encounters, but recharge daily. There is a 5% chance that you will destroy the item if you use its last charge. There is also the attunement requirement for many of them. Overall they balance out classes like Wizards very well.

It really isn't. Being able to self enchant charges into a wand, won't break loot progression. That shield of faith wand you've been carrying since early game? Will it can still be useful in the mid game. By freeing your cleric from having to memorize the spell.

It's 2020, and tabletoppers still do not get computer games.

Actually, this is very valuable feedback. I would suggest you to report to Owlcats as much as possible. Due to the fact that most other testers play their versions OK, you may have a unique combination of software and hardware that reveals some hard to find problems in the code.

I had three or four CTDs and game felt super fragile then somehow it worked itself out and now it’s fine.

Yeah, best to hold off of the mounted stuff. Hasn't really been implemented yet. I liked Espionage Expert so I could stack Perception to not miss anything while buffing my team with Hunter's Bond - Outsiders.

I don't get "balancefags". Even with multi player games. When i played crossfire long years ago, tBarrett M82A1 rifle which could OHK people behind cover at 400m with a feet shot. I saw some guys complaining and ... Purchased the weapon for myself. In a MP game, instead of crying because "martini henry is OP on bf1", "pzb 39 is op on bf5", why you don't use the weapon? In SP games it makes even less sense. If someone is using a pun pun build or a underdog challenge build, why should i care? How it affects me? Does anyone here believes that a game with that insane high amount of choice can be proper balanced? Even if we assume that balance is good and not a immersion, fun and variety killer?

Some times being overpowered is amazing and some times being a underdog having a harsh time is amazing. I an reading Solo Leveling at moment, on the beginning of the story, the MC is a complete weakling and the story is interesting. When he becomes stronger, the story keeps amazing. Kingmaker is pretty generous, giving a lot of powerful companions and is 100% possible to beat the game on normal with any pure roleplay build. Doesn't matter if you are pure caster, half caster or pure martial. And the game provides his fair share of challenge.I really wanna see all crazy stuff that people can do with WoTR like for eg, being a water demon kineticist mounted in a wryven. And don't care if someone living at 30 000km from my home can kill a boss that i had a hard time in a round with a pun pun build. Or if someone decided to have low STR/CON/DEX and be a Barbarian because he wanna challenge himself.

I don't know about balance, but I do care about challenge and difficulty in my cRPGs.

Has anyone been able to make an Order of the Star Cavalier? I tried to make one, when I tried to select a deity it wouldn't "lock in" my choice so I was unable to finish building the character.

Reported it, obviously, just curious if anyone else was affected.
