I can see how ratfolk beeing a small race counts a little bit down for them, though, with how their damage nerf is implemented here. I wouldn't really feel like choosing a small race, for melee or ranged at least. Maybe as a wizard, but I'm more into spontaneous casters.

Small races would be more popular if they were implemented like in NWN, doing full damage, just being limited to smaller weapon types.

You're going to choke when you hear this. But what I've been posting IS the official poll. They're showing the results in real time.

My comment about a property qualification for voting was relevant, tabletopper.

I'm not sure if you're serious. Being small is almost always a big advantage, no pun intended. Nevermind that all available small races are shit, especially compared to ratfolk.

The drop in damage is absolutely negligible past the first levels, and gets less relevant for each level beyknd that. Nevermind that Ratfolk have easy access to natural attacks in the tabletop, notably being able to get Bite, which you can stack with the much easier-to-aquire claws of countless classes and builds.

300 more votes and kitsune maintain the 19% lead.

I see not much difference between dogs and rats. Both of them are garbage scavengers and parasitic in nature. Now cats, they are alpha predators.

Btw, just today I saw homeless cat searching garbage for food, meanwhile there a big ass field full of grass where mice can dwell. So much for alpha predators I guess.

It's called "action economy". The mousing fox catches a mouse in about 10%. Garbage food is always there.

I've seen way more cats scrounging in the garbage than dogs.
And when dogs do go feral, they are much more alpha chad predators than feral cats, they kill and eat people like a true apex predator, unlike little kitties that just kill birds and rabbits and shit.
Also, look at their owners: cats are the choice pet of lonely, single, apartment-dwellers, whereas prestigious and wealthy landowning men prefer dogs.

Cats are fine but dogs are the patrician's choice.

    Dogs, go, go.

Although, I would really like both Kitsune, ratfolk and catfolk in upcoming Wrath dlcs. It sucked ass we couldn't add additional 50 dollars for dlcs right at the kickstarter. I would gladly pay 100$ for big meaty dlcs for this super good upcoming game. I already paid 150 on kickstarter alone.

Dogs serves as hunting, tracking, guide dog, guard(...) companions. Rats and cats are useless and kitsunes only serves to furry weird tastes.

Dogs can kill Boars and Pumas, Foxes, Rats and Cats can't.

Have you seen the cat people in Pathfinder? They're not your basic house cat. They have tiger heads and shit. Tigers can kill any dog and they are peak hunters

It's clear improvement in my book!

To be honest, stray dogs are apex predators in urban areas. I remember that in Moscow where dog catchers (as other state services) are remiss, one can see only 3 kinds of animals on the streets: rats, dogs, and crows. In Toronto, where I haven't seen a stray pet yet, there is whole zoo on the streets. Small rats in the subway, squirrels in parks, raccoons in garbage cans. I have recently seen a fox (while people are on quarantine). And hawks and falcons just fly over gas stations. And this is in addition to all other... creatures.

So... yeah. Dogs are the best.

Easy to be the apex predator in an area where humans killed all the Apex predators. Let's see dogs be apex predators somewhere that actually poses some risk. All dogs got are wolfs in some icy places where its just rabbits jumping around. Cats are apex predators in jungles or savannahs where there are bigger animals like rhinos and gazels and monkeys. No competition

Well, that's the point - large cats are dying out everywhere, but doggies of different kinds usually prosper. Now humankind is another force of natural selection, so animals have to adapt or die.

Except that a dog can track the bigger animal for a hunter with a deadly .45-70 rifle or a .585 Gehringer which can kill any "apex predator". Even if somehow a tyrannosaur is bough back to life, a large caliber blackpowder rifle is everything that you need against one. Hell, Javelins was used extensively to hunt Mammoths during ice age. A dog tracking + projectile weapon = GG win. It allowed a species with bellow average strength to be in the top of food chain.

25,000 Years Later, Javelin Is Still Embedded in Mammoth's Rib

So your beloved animal is so fucking weak that its survival is based on someone else's ability? It can't survive on its own by it's own merits? Doesn't sound like someone I would like on my team. Utility is great but you have to bring something more to the table when a dragon is about to eat the parties ass. Cats die or survive based off their own abilities. Even rats do. Dogs are a bunch of pussies that need others to help them along. You guys aren't just Larian cultists, you're also Communist fucks.

Enjoy the scraps your masters allow you to have
