Very good points, actually. I guess I'm just disappointed that the anthro races usually look like they shouldn't even be part of a medieval fantasy game. They look like they come straight out of some furry fan fic, but as you say the interesting part are the societies and cultures even though, sadly those are usually very generic as well.
Wouldn't even be against adding anthro races if they included cool shit like mothmen.[IMG]

They're restricted by generic ass pathfinder races though so I won't hold out any hope for any actual creativity.

It seems that the best minds of Codex are on the brink of shocking discovery: everything humans fantasize about are related to humans. Be they robots, androids, Kitsune, aliens, sentient beetles, jedi knights, Khajiit, elves, orcs, direwolves and dragon queens. "The human heart in conflict with itself." In this regard games are art, and they are about humans, too.

So every meaningful zoological form is some reflection of humans. Even the Skaven.

Anyways. So who's excited for Oreads? They have some good mechanics for monk builds.
    >Add +1/3 on critical hit confirmation rolls made with unarmed strikes (maximum bonus of +5). This bonus does not stack with Critical Focus.
    >Special Archetype for Monks - Student of Stone
    >Granite Skin - +1 racial bonus to natural armor
    >+2 Strength, +2 Wisdom, and –2 Charisma
    >Oreads make good monks and fighters thanks to their prodigious strength and self-discipline
    >And more features!

No. You just need to take into account that a player race must be humanoid, or things generally won't make any sense, like wearing armor and wielding weapons for instance.
Thanks for calling me the best mind of Codex though, nothing I said even warranted the dick sucking and I got it anyway.

He called me a best mind too. And unlike you, everything I've ever said warrants the dick sucking.

It's really good but RAW that armour bonus doesn't stack, which is balls. I homebrew racial bonuses like that to be increases to NA rather than NA bonuses.

That said Owlcat doesn't seem to understand what stacking means so chances are it'll stack anyway lol

They also don't include favored classes, so that bonus to critical hit confirmation likely won't be included either.

+2 Strength and +2 Wisdom can still be useful. No clue if I am willing to give up Humans with their extra feat. But if Owlcat gets the critical hit confirmation with unarmed to work, it might be viable to pick rock monks.

To add to this, it is usually used as opposed to RAI, or Rules-As-Intended, with this opposition causing approximately 99% of the heated arguments in dedicated tabletop forums. Especially in the more... autistic parts of the internet. And for once, I don't count 4chan among them. /tg/ is practically an oasis of civil discussion compared to some other forums I've seen over the years.

Nah, he wrote "Ratfolks all the way!" in an earlier thread, so maybe he lost faith in their chances and went into a depression or something...

You don't see many communist spies/infiltrators screaming "glory to Mother Russia" in public, do you?

Finally got my badge today, one hour ago. It took 3 days from I linked the account and PM'd Mortheim.

Gave my vote to the rats.

Well, I've got my badge quite fast, but still cannot vote. Will check tomorrow may be.
Also, they have some limitations for "new users" that are lifted if a user hangs out on the forum for several hours and reads something. May be these basic limitations interfere with group membership and / or ability to vote.

So in general - just wait. Foxes have to be patient...

Hard to say if they gonna do more damage then scaled fist monks cause its so easy to initmidate every enemy in the game and make them shakened+shattered defense combo. Is it supposed to as easy as it is in kingmaker in tabletop? Intimidate checks seem too easy feel like owlcat screwed up here.

Also are favored class options in wrath?
