I take it anyone who backed for the first expansion get both of the parts, rite? An expansion split in half does not equal two expansions.

As many in this topic has said that duration of buffs/debuffs/cc is short made me think that they must have been "balanced" for easy or normal because fights in those are over lot quicker than hard and especially PotD.

Hopefully someone makes "PotD"-mod for those spells.

...and I am done. It took me 71 hours to do pretty much everything, all side quests and bounties. All side characters quests as well (or so I thought).

    Show Spoiler
Ending slides of Aloth were a "surprise" indeed. WTF.

With Barbarian, one thing that works are reach weapons. Stay behind your tank but close enough that you can hit the enemy he is fighting. Carnage hits all the mobs queuing up behind him.

That is an issue with hard difficulty and why PotD is a must. The upper level abilities take a lot of edge off of you. Moreover, with some exceptions, the encounters do not get harder.

I don't see how moar spiders in spider mobs and more hp on said spiders is supposed to make the combat any less of a borefest.

I certainly hope people who backed the expansion gets both parts. Then again it was a Feargus interview. So half the information was probably nonsense :D

If I were to use potions and food (and not necessarily), Eder could do the whole map by himself; it's not just about the abilities but the system as a whole.
also I got a shit-ton of money because enchanting was not necessary after a point and buying items also is pointless
Like in Divinity OS, best gameplay experience is in the first hours. After that, all goes downhill

That would suck. Most monsters are balanced well but especially npcs need tweaking.

Then they would've needed to add more enemy types to second half of the game, hopefully they'll do that either in patches or expansions.

Combat in D:OS was fun from the get go. PoE combat never gets fun.

    What is PotD?

Also, since I got the stronghold, I've only been attacked once shortly after that. Since then, I am reaching the end of the game and no other attacks whatsoever. Is this a bug or it's normal?

    Path of the Damned difficulty.

Anything related to the stronghold aside from building works in turns, events and quests appear and advance by doing quests. so if you didn't complete a lot of quests then that's probably it and if not report it or something.

I've been attacked 3 or 4 times so far. I did all the act 2 side quests before going into the catacombs though. Maybe you went to fast.

He should have just said it was two expansions instead of two parts. Bam, give people the first one for free, charge everyone for the second. Silly Feargus.

Are the scores recorded with real or virtual instruments?

There are credits for an orchestra at the end, I believe.

I think it's a mix, some tracks are orchestra, some are digital instruments.

Speaking of which, not all of the tracks are released in the OST. I plan to video-capture them from the game to have the complete soundtrack.

I think all the music from the game are in the folders \Pillars of Eternity\PillarsOfEternity_Data\data\audio\mus

I haven't looked for it, but if it's there this would be cool.

I believe the soundtrack only includes the orchestrated tracks, although I may be misremembering.

Well, it's no Arcanum soundtrack. I've taken to listening to it daily. Villages and Wilderness in particular.

What are you on about? I thought I was levelling up too quickly with PC and Aloth (will pick up Kana and Pallegina later), so console'd to reduce XP. I soon found that I may have been hasty so now I'm going in with normal XP progression and enjoying myself.

The game is too easy with 6 players, which is the real problem and why I go with 3-4.
