Fuck off with these lists already. Fuck you fuck you fuck you.
Obviously it is Thief: The Dark Project. But since that is not on the poll, I voted Thief 2.
wtf its on the poll, 1998
Fuck your right. But no wonder one can't find a game on that wall of text.

You have presbyopia or something? How can you have trouble with a poll?
I don't fucking know! It must be the lack of oxygen in the room!

I also commend the OP for not supplying the answers in any form of order, neither alphabetically, chronologically nor grouped by developer nor genre nor even series. It takes some real effort to be quite that chaotic.

it's chronological except for the write-ins on the bottom

1st ballot (chronological)
rest of 1st ballot (chronological)
rest of the poll (chronological)
write-ins

From that list was a toss up between X-Com & Deus Ex for me, and ultimatelt went Deus Ex.

Witcher 3 tho? FFS, it's not even the best in the series.

Deus Ex because it's cyberpunk.

On a more serious note, because it's a nice RPG that I got to play a few years ago and was amazed by how well it holds up. Must have been revolutionary back in 2000. It does need a graphical rework, though. At least for higher resolution support.

And because it's cyberpunk.

What? You've been oblivious to the GMDX thread in GRPG discussion for years?

-has higher res support
-has faithful graphical rework. See: link

System Shock 2, but I'm a serious sucker for the whole "alone on a spaceship" thing which nets it a lot of points.

I voted for Thief due to the impact it had on the future of gaming. "You can create an FPS without killing? What?"

Do you guys think the codex would bite if I made a thread on how bad deus ex is?
Yeah, Codex falls for any bait, no matter how low effort it is. Your previous bait thread getting 75 pages of responses should be a clue enough.
