I don't give a shit either but your opinion (or mine) has nothing to do with those products having a market. Smartphones are an obvious example why you are so very wrong.
Not to mention how way off the reservation you are with prices. A half decent TV is more than enough and way cheaper than a proper audio system or high-quality reciever and cable box and all the other jizz.

The idea behind a console is to sell the thing to literally tens of millions of people. I don't think that market is nearly as large as IDtenT or MS believe it is, and at the moment, the Internet's collective reaction to Xbox One supports my position.

 

Again, none of those will be cheap. Blu-ray, DVR and media centre hardware are bog standard across the market and the console hits close enough to the PS4 in capability. What ultimately decides the quality of playback is your VR receiver, TV and speakers. Now as for the quality of the software on these systems... Are you really going to argue that Microsoft is going to be cheap?

 

No, but I'll argue that it's some version of Windows 8/RT, which while expensive, is still bad.

 

It's already available on iOS and Android (and Windows 8). Microsoft is arrogant, but I doubt they'll drop support for the other systems - just like it hasn't done for Skype. It'd be bad for business. Sometimes you just have to accept a market situation and not force it.
