    That's total bullshit. I wouldn't want to entrust a bunch of kids with developing a complex piece of software, as much as I wouldn't want them to be my dentist or lawyer.

    I knew some seriously talented young guys from Polish IE scene that had to bury a few great projects with good writing and mature stuff due to getting a job.
    I think it's a pretty good age to start. They are fresh, mentally flexible, untired by the shitty world.

    Sparse beard patches that haven't filled in yet, had that same problem around senior prom. Don't be discouraged guys it'll fill in, and don't listen to those cunts that tell you to shave it, it doesn't make it grow back faster.

    Lots of masterworks in a lot of different fields come from young minds. They might be too young if they're fresh from college but you never know. The problem I see is project management, that's one thing that requires experience. Also, how's it trending?

    Sitting here in my basement tax liability, paralyzed by shock and awe.

    A deer in the head lamps of the shining Codex leviathan, trundling down the rails,

    a special express train of tough LUV.

    The mission, to save these stalwart adventurers from the looming wreck ahead,

    if this K-Starter is funded.

    Long hours and short wages on an indy project that can only end in tears!

    Doomed to suicidal depressions with hardly a pauper's fig leaf remaining to adorn a resume.

    Only a true diabolical evil would earn their SOB Merit Badge by juicing this project just enough to fall into the abattoir, the 9 Circles of Game Development.

    Some mothers some where thank the mothers here for pointing their prodigals to the scientifical historic proof that real interns build computing skills in custodial service. Micro fiber mops at attention!
    The future mighty reinforce their team work synapsis by gopher-ing for donuts, and washing the bosses' cars.

    All third millennium marketing flows from the phrase, "do you want fries with that?"

    I am stunned and humbled by the care taken to lead the lost back to the proven career tracks of this industry! ;)

    Instead of supporting some new developers with a fresh perspective and some obvious talent, lets wait for RPG's from experienced, proven companies. Perhaps Bethesda?

    Exactly. For example, who would want to watch porn starring old people?

    Agreed. I'm too old for these happy pappy newbs, therefore preferring crappy but proven companies. No place in my heart for fresh sprouts and their weird concepts - trying to make money jumping the Cry Engine bandwagon. We need a new war. There are too many people on earth.

    Are you kidding me? You advertise yourself that you are a little bit better than the "kill 1000 bloddflowers quest"? Seriously?

    Are you fucking kidding me? You want to patent a system that is basically copied from Dark Messiah/Mount & Blade? YOu fucking kidding me... WTF... FUCK YOU

    Ok here's another one:

    icelands (okay)
    desert (okay)
    bayou => swamp, underbrush, trees
    quarry => misty forest, underbrush, trees
    titanwood => forest, underbrush, trees

    ... I count 3 distinct environments.

    You seem very angry about this game Savant. I wouldn't worry too much, even Grimoire will come out before this.

    It would be great if one could make the game they described for anything like this budget, it's great they have youthful enthusiasm and ambition. Sadly, reality is a bitch.

    I'm not sure being young is a problem. Most of the "classic" game developers were pretty young when they started (Richard Garriott was still in high school), young people have more energy, can work longer hours, have more ambition and try to pull off ambitious stuff because they don't yet know what they're getting into. Plus they can probably get by on a low budget because a) they still live in their parent's house and get by with their 15$/month allowance or B) they live on their own in some shitty apartment and don't have any money anyway.

    There are games I follow because I still see a potential. But at a certain point the patience is over and they are only 1 step away from being ditched. Hooray, they achieved that with:

    >Update #11: If you're a backer of this project, please login to read this post.

    They merely achieved a quarter of their goal and think it's a good idea to withheld information? Stupid. Just stupid. But I don't care anymore.

    Why is the business manager, apparently the only accountable person in the group, keeping his full name secret?

    You know what. I don't even think this is a scam, it's much too dilletantic for that.

    I think it's just bullshit, like Tortured Hearts. Mr. "Nameless One" Jay aka business manager is probably just a pawn like that old lady.
