A few days later "Ok, ok, it was me....."

 

The Chinese found out how to mod Sengoku Rance a long time ago. I think I still have one of the Chinese modding tools lying around my HD somewhere.

Guess the English people are finally catching up

 

Do they have any good mods?

 

Rance should have gone over for another round during Quest

 

Don't think so. Just a handful of small "add in characters from other series" like Type-Moon units etc type of mods

Guess that's better than Skyrim sex mods though

 

Link to mod tools? Doesn't matter that it's Chinese since I know the language. If it's easy to edit dialogue and replace CGs I may make a modesty mod.

 

I'm thinking instead of wanting to have extramarital sex with them, Rance can be a virtuous guy who only wants to help his sisters-in-modesty work through their various personal issues with the power of his 'hyper weapon'!

His 'hyper weapon' of course being his caring demeanor and knowledge of scripture. These are also what give him the power to fight demons, as they make him compatible with the Holy Sword Chaos, his wisecracking but good-hearted talking sword.

Doesn't that sound just grand? Certainly more fun than all the indecency and lewdness infesting the vanilla game.

Sorry, I looked through my Hard Drive and couldn't find the mod tools. I probably deleted it along with my entire SR folder when I needed some space and thought I wasn't going to play it for a while.

 

I was going to say "if you want modest Sengoku Rance play Nobunaga Ambitions".
But then I realised that SR is actually way more feministic than NA (or real world in that place and time). Women play roles of rulers and generals and actually have more say in who they have sex with than it was historically.

 

Any idea where you found it to begin with?

 

Much as I am loathe to encourage the idea of a censored Rance (TADA would cry himself to sleep if he found out) the tools for changing images are on hongfire.

I'm at uni and I don't really want to go on to hongfire because it's probably flagged as a porno site but search ALD Explorer and the person who made it is somelolicatgirl

 

Thanks, when I finish I will be sure to email a copy of the mod to Alicesoft/TADA so they can release it as a patch. I think you're right that they will cry tears of joy at seeing SR as the modest game I'm sure they truly wanted it to be!

 

Though if you do make it a game of female Rance fighting sluts and the patriarchy then I'd play the fuck out of it.

There should already Ranceko images in the game that you could use.

 

Sorry, this isn't an option, since like my Witcher Modesty Mod, this mod will be 100% Lore-Friendly.

 

But Rance not being a rapist does stuff up the lore and create plotholes.

Like why Leazas is now sending reinforcements to JAPAN

 

Obviously Princess Lia was reformed when Rance took her out on a date and held hands with her.

Goes without saying that I will get to LP both games (KR is still open for anyone who wants to do it)

 

VI is fairly long.

Great game though. Probably my favourite Rance game

 

Rance VI is now 85% translated which is massive progress.
