Roguelike x Relaxation!
Take it easy in the latest addition to the series where you buff your bust with every foe you defeat, Omega Labyrinth!

Now, in addition to adventuring through dungeons, you can enjoy the finer things in life. Taking care of flowers, rebuilding the academy, having a little fun on the side...

Enjoy your daily life in an academy of fair maidens!

●A bonafide roguelike RPG you can play again and again!

Venture through a dungeon with different rooms and items every time you challenge it. Power up your gear and make wise use of your skills to defeat your foes. There are even dungeons with 99 floors!

●Expand your bust with every fallen foe! Mightier mammaries lead to greater power!

Defeating foes builds up Omega Power in the chest, increasing bust size and parameters. They go all the way up to a Z cup!

●Raise flowers, rebuild the academy, and more! Enjoy a laid-back life!

Through planting seeds in the garden and raising flowers, or changing up the decor like the trees, lights or benches, you can change the scenery of the academy like never before in this new addition to the series!

*This game is adapted from the Nintendo Switch version of Omega Labyrinth Life. Animations, artwork, and game mechanics are the same as Omega Labyrinth Life on the Nintendo Switch.

I...i actually just saw this, why is this a thing?

The idea feels more suited for a H-Game than anything else, but considering it had a Switch version it seems the game doesn't go that far, making the main gimmick seem even weirder, i know sex sells and all but the premise is a bit off.

Still, the reviews chosen for the Steam page seems to indicate the game is surprisingly good if...yeah.

To be fair, you could throw that argument for a majority of fanservice games that don't show full on nudity. Hard to put my finger on exactly how to describe it but I suppose there is a market for this kind of fanservice without outright penetration and cumshots is one perspective to look at it (that plus in JP, having a game that's not labeled as an outright porn game and rated by CERO is likely going to be sold more than an actual hentai VN/game).

Hey this looks cool. ReversiQuest2, single-player tactical tactical JRPG inspired by 90s Japanese SRPGs, originally released on mobile.

Though it looks too similar to FFT or Ogre games, almost feels like I'v seen the portraits before.

Also the reviews on Google Play don't sound encouraging...: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yokogosystems.reversiquest2&hl=en

Graphics are beautiful but gameplay is not really at all like final fantasy tactics even though all these reviews are comparing it to fft it doesn't come close. Gameplay is weird. Combat is basically Othello which is honestly pretty boring.

just finished tutorial and im halfly dissapointed. Its bad system to repeat battle after lose with renewed hp while foe's hp remains as it ended in last battle. This makes the game too easy and unchallengeable tbh. Could be better content and with multiplayer options. Overally game is pleasant to play and i wish to play it longer but i think all chapters should be for free cause with current mechanics i wont buy it for sure. hope u will make it better one day. good luck

Degica brings Hero must die. again, 2016 PS Vita RPG that was only released in Japan, to Steam:

You are the hero, your last memory is fighting with the demon Guile and felling it, thus saving your world. However, you seem to have died in the process and now you cannot remember her, the one for which you went alone to fight the demon. Due to your great deed, the gods have given you five more days to put your affairs in order, but time will quickly take its toll and you will grow weaker as the days pass.

Good luck in finding out what happened!

From renowned creator Shoji Masuda (Linda³, Oreshika) comes an epic anti-RPG about aging and death.
A full localization and brush-up of a game only available until now in Japan on PS Vita.

Features:
  • Fantasy anti-RPG where the hero starts at his strongest, and grows weaker as time passes
  • Over 50 different funerals (endings) depending on what the hero accomplished
  • 8 unique heroines to woo, each with their own personalities and motivations. Which is the one you were protecting?
  • Visit the world you have just saved, and resolve remaining problems to lead it to the best possible future

Bravely Default 2 (actually the third part) coming 2020 exclusively for the Switch, of course now the Switch has merged the Wii U/3DS ecosystem.

It will probably sell like hotcake and it doesn't have to be genuinely good, like the 2 first games: I mean, the combat was the strongest part which isn't bad, but the story, characters, tone, was a bit shitty.

Now in the sales behemoth that is the Switch, it will get even more attention and probably sales.

i don't like western devs culturally appropriating the jrpg moniker!!!1

But what if they actually make a JRPG?
They can't.

What if they do a Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy etc..., clone, and it's just produced in the West? Would be JRPG or not?

It's the same with visual novels, if done in English originally they're called "EVNs" (E for English), but they're still visual novels.

This is the JRPG subs version of "what is an RPG anyway?". And no, no one calls non-japanese VNs as EVNs. And no one calls Japanese VNs as JVN either for that matter.

See you kinda get my point.

In the end it's the same. Gygax invented RPGs, so it's a Western thing (in origin). Hence why "JRPG" exists but "WRPG" is so less frequent. Why remark the obvious?

Likewise, "JVN" is not a thing, they're just visual novels, and the Japanese invented them. If they talk about wildly different things, set in Britain or... in Germany (ugh), they are still done imitating the Japanese style, at least in the art.

Also I'm in an all-special-snowflakes VN community, so trust me with these definitions, will ya?

Nah if you are active in VN scene, western made VN are named OELVN - Original English Languange Visual Novel.

It is considered distinct to VN due to art direction, theme, writing style. Of course that said there are OELVN with high rating and comparable to normal VN, Katawa Shoujo being the biggest example, but in the end of the day its more exception than the norm.

Western made JRPG do not really has that distinction tho because a lot of them were made in RPG Maker trying to emulate older JRPGs. But imo things like Cluthlu Saves the World are intentional parody of JRPG and while cant be considered as whole other genre they should still be considered as exception to west made JRPG instead of the norm.
