I don't suppose our character is willing to entertain the notion that the person the ship is registered to might be blameless? Oh well.

Even if they are at fault, what good would killing them right off the bat do? Why not confront and interrogate them and then kill them, if we so desire? Why not steal the prototype and get out without anyone noticing?

Still, can't help but feel that 'kill the suspects, then investigate the crime scene' is doing things in the wrong order. :) The choice I'd get behind would be 'confront them (in their home when they are alone and away from public eyes), then kill them to remove a witness if the situation warrants it'.

But given the setting, this course of action might not be that out of place.
