Actually, I was a bit surprised to see it coming from Sylvius The Mad, whom I thought was one of the coolest people on Bioboards.

But the fact that a preview of a Bioware game made him start contemplating about marriage is a little surprising to me, and yet this is very typical of so many people in Bioware forums.

It reminds me of the threads in the KotOR forum which go, "Revan or Genghis Khan - who is the greater military leader?"

See, I want to defend those forums (I am a member of them too after all), I really do, but there is just so much awkwardness and silliness that goes on there, and people stand and take it all seriously anyway.

And here I thought that this could finally have been the game that made Bioware a good developer. I nearly fell asleep during that crap, I can only imagine how bland and lifeless the actual game will be.

I hadn't intended on buying it, just like I didn't buy Mass Effect.

They've gotten videos up now as well, but sadly enough there's no real stuff from the game, just a bunch of developer blaha where they talk about how awesome it'll be.

I don't know why, but the phrase "Release the skyway" amuses me greatly.

Wow, they really know how to bore people. When I first heard about Dragon Ages, I was rather indifferent but with each new release, I've become more and more certain that I will definitely not buy, or even try out this game. The whole epic LOTR shit has gotten old and tiresome. It was cool a few years back, but now, its just a major turn off. Its almost as if they're trying to anti-hype their game because I know of no one, except for the Bioware fanboys, who are excited about Origins.

    Oh, and here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35cyEzRDoEE

Agreed. This is also the first skyway related sentence to amuse me to any degree, so the novelty factor is a plus, too.

Better than what I expected, really. At least none of them are "You are a farmer's son and OH MY GOD DICKS CLOSING IN FROM ALL DIRECTIONS TO ARMS. Later, your parents are dead and you begin following the path of the warrior.".

And they are still hyping trivial stuff like this instead of showing anything about actual gameplay.

Yep, its at least better then NWN 2 and Fable. Still, it'd be so much better if kris was designing the backgrounds.

You call Codex fanboys? Look at all the DA threads. L0L Talk about hype. And, lots of people are hyped about DA - just not to the Sims or the GOW series level which shouldn't be surprising.

No, Volourn is perfectly right, and it applies to you most of all.

Face it, you bothered to play Jade Empire. You did not stop after BG and KotOR. You had the choice of not buying their future games on the basis of the ones you played.

Your money has gone to Bioware's hands to fund their future games, and you have spent your time on them.

Whatever you say about Bioware, you yourself are responsible for their continued existence as a developer. The way the free market works, you have encouraged them, by making your money votes. Several several times over.

OR you could just torrent it. Or even buy it when the price drops a year later. Pretty sure the publishers and devs give a shit how much a game sells after the first year of the release date.
