They wanted to rip off the feeling of Ico and The Last Guardian, instead they managed to copy their atrocious controls and camera. Seriously, it's the first game that I cannot walk a straight line. It's buggy, unoptimised, extremely linear while they say that you can explore wherever you want (bullshit) and the puzzles are very easy at least until the middle of the game where I am now (I think).

It's not trash, artistically it stands out, but I think we're going to remember it only for the Denuvo drama that it had.

So, any moar info? Have you beat the game yet?

Yeah, I did. It was short anyway. Well, all the things I wrote still stand, the later levels are somewhat better, I saw some variety in puzzles, they had better atmosphere and I got used to the clunky controls. Also, the story is nice but a bit predictable. Oh, I liked the soundtrack too.

If you like non-combat exploration games with a bit of puzzles, you're going to like it. Just don't expect any kind of challenge. I enjoyed it more than ABZU to be honest and a lot less than Journey, it's a 6 or 7 out of 10 game (not by IGN standards), which is ok, but not for a 35€ price tag which is too steep for it, right now. Wait for a more than 50% sale.

Picked it up for a few scant dollars and it gave me an experience akin to that of Ico. No combat, no escort quest, some pretty boring swimming sections but superb visuals and it's damn nice to play a quiet game that lets its palette and music do the talking. A nice homage to a type of game that we simply don't see much of anymore.

:salute:
