Scrolls which 99% of people could never afford. If they have that kind of cash in a fantasy world, they can probably hump whatever they wish already.

In that kind of fantasy world, a rich young noble would likely have the statue of his dream woman be fashioned by a skilled artisan, then turned to flesh by a wizard, and animated to false life by a necromancer then used as the most realistic sex doll ever.

I wonder if this is one of the reasons why D&D is popular. :D

I think resurrection was put in as a safeguard against another DnD quirk that is instant death on a failed save.

Plus they put in additional limitations which are generally not implemented in games (the soul has to be willing to go back, expensive spell components like diamonds, not dying from old age etc.)

Sure, but think about it logically. Why would you not aim for the eyes if you were a crackshot? I personally like to aim for the groin as well because it's funny when they explode after a shot to the junk.

But what I'm saying is this: in Fallout, most of your enemy combatants are humans with a gun or some melee weapon. Like I said, a shot to the eyes has a chance to blind, which drops their PER down to 1, effectively crippling their chance to shoot. So Fallout's weakness isn't in its combat system, but instead it has limited enemy variety. A good idea would be to have an enemy with a helmet/goggles/etc. that could protect against such a strike.

But even without that, the combat is interesting enough to me, even if it is simpler than other RPGs. I just took down Decker with the help of Sheriff Greene and that fight was tough. I had to redo it a bunch of times haha. The way that Kane is built as a character makes him more immune to this method, as even though I could land nearly every shot, he only lost 8-12 HP out of his 100. Throughout my various reloads (because I died), I think I landed the critical eye shot on him one time.

I hate it when every thing you do has some form of degradation tied to it.
90% of the time its just a goldsink because the developers couldn't figure out anything else for you to spend your cash on.

I hate broken economy in RPGs. It can often completely destroy the setting if you allow yourself to think about it for ten seconds. Classic situation: there's a dungeon near town filled with some low level critters. An average person can, at moderate risk to his life (if he's not careful) lose his life exploring it. If he explores it and sells all the shit he found... he just made a year's worth of average salary in a couple hours. Why is everyone with a smidge of courage not swarming each such dungeon to make big money quick? Why would some city thug bother robbing idiots in the ghetto if he can just beat up a couple goblins and make a hundred times as much money, without risk of legal trouble? Why is every city guard and soldier not going dungeon crawling in his free time?

Most economies in RPGs are broken due to too much loot, which is there to satisfy that stupid itemization craze of most players. That was discussed already. I would really like an RPG in which getting a new item of gear would be a big thing. A new shiny sword should feel like an achievement, not a +1% DPS trash.

I want more cRPG with "competing" adventuring parties, some i can rescue, some that will rescue me, some i will compete with, some ambushing me ...
    Adventuring parties everywhere!
I'm not kidding, it would be extremely fun to have dynamic adventuring parties leveling up, also, elite parties looking down on your pathetic band of hobos.

Of course, i order not to ruin the fun for the player, either you'd have to add a certain amount of randomly generated dungeons for these parties to loot or to hide most important dungeons; having to discover them through various clues before raiding them, which some of them could fin in time too, (why not?); or both.

Also if nobody addresses a problem, it should become worse.
You don't do anything about these orcs raiding caravans ? Well, at some point, the orcs will grow bolder or get unified and prepare to raid a nearby city, even take it over.

Most racelocked classes are shit. It is only good when the class is either completely based on the race (Ie Dwarves are the only ones who can take a Runesmith) or there is a lore imperative for it (Demons cant cast spells since they are from a different world without magic, so no Mages for them). The standard that some races just cant take certain classes, no explanation given, is garbage and limits creativity. Genderlocked is less egregious, since gender doesnt make a difference in almost all RPGs, so it doesnt restrict as much.

Don't forget gaining a level while doing so. Which leads me to another DnD retardation, the "everyone is a level 1 commoner, just the PCs are speshul" approach. I see no reason why you couldn't have NPCs gain a few levels after a decade of plying their trade. At least you would have a world that can take care of itself somewhat and isn't at the mercy of anything above CR3.

I really hate long introductory areas and dungeons.

Even in Fallout 2, although the starting temple wasn't very big.

It is especially bad during re-runs. The one thing Dragon Age: Origins did right was to at least implement some kind of variation with different origins (although most of them are still extremely boring).

A big YES. That would make the game much more lively and interesting. Also, if it comes to blows, an adventuring party is a good and interesting adversary for an adventuring party.

So, you wanted to buy something, sell something or resupply?
Well, there might be a problem with that. :M

Everyone with a smidge of courage already did swarm the dungeon. That's why there is so much loot in there now.

Childhood trauma from being unable to multiclass their male characters into valkyries in Wizardry must be the root of tranny infestation among RPG players.
