Well, I'm not going to argue it here. That's been done to death in the official thread. If you enjoyed it, I can't tell you otherwise. I just thought it was a really mediocre game. As a shooter, it doesn't do anything to differentiate itself from others. You can probably get better gameplay out of Modern Military Shooter #34985.

 

I don't like this remake, but Croft manor is good shit

 

Ah, the time,on Tomb Raider series, when corridors were things to connect rooms in a level, instead of being the whole level. Corridors, being chased by angry dirty russian hobos and explosions, those are the innovations of Tomb Raider 2013,unfortunately.

It's a singleplayer game. It's not like X series, more like Aquanox or something, where you fly and do missions in a linear campaign. I least that's my impression after an hour of playing, it might change later.

 

Too bad the cockpit view doesn't add much. It's a pretty good game, but I prefer the all-arcade Infinity because the campaign is quite boring after a while.

 

I would sell my fucking soul for a large, playable space sim with amazing graphics (because I love to just fly around because why not).
Freespace in software mode, Privateer and X3 are the most beautiful from what I've played.

Then you might want to try X-rebirth when it comes out. It has just about everything on your list.

The Oblivion emotional experience is like seven years old now man, it's almost jurassic. Only tryhard grognards like RPG Codex would give anything above 5 for such a dated emotional experience. For starters, there's no romance options (like...seriously?).

Your screenshots annoy me greatly! I can't get the fucking game to take pics (nor can I get the steam overlay to work) in DX11 mode. All the screenshots are just black images. It only works if I use DX9.

 

With dx9 is the same. All black screenshots i had to use another program to take ingame pics...

Once upon a time, when Raven wasn't making shit.

 

I have always liked Hellstaff's fiery rain ToP, and Doomsday's renderer and lighting system only makes it better.

Still, Heretic is a vastly inferior prequel to both Hexen games that feels more like amateurish Doom TC than a standalone game.
Not a bad game, mind you, but still not nearly as good.
