Does it need any patches to run on modern systems? I remember seeing the cool box art in a store as a kid, I think it was in a collection with American Mcgee Alice, but couldn't remember the title of the game until recently.

I took prepared installation from Collection Chamber site, he used DxWind and nGlide wrapper and some tweaking with some help from other people. Runs well, camera is cluncky (even worse in bullet time), you can't Alt+TAB and in some places sounds system breaks (or it was intentional?).

Alan Wake

Good setting for a story obviously taking Twin Peaks as the main reference plus some Stephen King work. Too bad the gameplay gets boring so fast, and you never have anything new to learn. The audiovisuals were great considering it was made for Xbox 360 and Remedy had to butcher the original sandbox idea for the town. Also, taunts from the enemies were somehow memorable and funny.
