Seriously, how is Witcher 3 ranked higher than Age of Decadence in the Codex ranking?

Haha you’re not wrong, because I agree the gameplay sucks. I also like Telltale Walking Dead. Great game, but doesn’t offer much in the way of gameplay.

 

Well I didn't like Walking Dead either because it didn't offer enough puzzles or whatever to make it engaging. If I'm just gonna watch a story there are thousands of movies and TV series that are better written and directed than any video game. That said... even I am not really saying The Witcher 3 is that bad gameplay wise. Someday I'll probably be more in the mood for whacky-whacky marker following and I'll give it another shot and maybe enjoy it. I'm just not sure I'd call it a great RPG in any way but story.

 

Witcher 3 is a great game. You can be a dumbfuck and focus on what's wrong with it, and of that there is plenty, but you can also whine about PST combat, Fallout 1 graphics, Gothic 1 controls, and Ultima Underworld writing. The bottom line is W3 is a masterpiece of interactive story-telling, and a game that shows how fun triple-A productions can be when backed up with at least one legitimately excellent aspect.

 

Visual novels ate your brain.

You think AoD is a visual novel because you're playing it like one trying to collect endings, this is seriously retarded.
It's not the ending that matters but playing the game with different builds having different trials to face.

Trying to get a different ending might be a thing when re-playing the game but if you do it with a walk-through following someone's build, no wonder you hate the game, just watch a let's play and go back to whatever shit you think is fun.

 

Say what you want about the new man here, but he's taking it on the chin, as one should. That's the spirit old chap, pay no heed to naysayers and enjoy whatever retarded stuff you're presently into <3

 

One ending. I wanted a single fucking ending then found out I was one skill point short.

Don't act like the game is anything short of perverse. You can't hold on to skill points until you find out what you need them for because some failures are silent. The goal of the game is to either record the many checks and somehow work your way to an actual ending, bounce between random events and get a shit version of the story or plan and use a wiki or walkthrough.

Not one of those options is any good or fun.

I don't play fucking Visual Novels. AoD pretending to not be one was only the first betrayal.
