2-D I have no problem with actually. A good ol throwback will be fun to play. Especially at modern day prices.
Then I really will feel like I got what I paid for and won't mind paying an arm and a leg for it.

How much did the Shadowrun license cost then?
Must not have been all that much, but lets face it, Microsoft's attempted rape failed fucking horribly.

Though I'm geared for both this, and Cyberpunk RPG, I don't completely Trust these guys. They seemed more interested in their video diaries about milking people for cash than spilling details on the game, which is what they SHOULD have been excited about, if it's more than a money venture!

This is why I'm kinda interested actually.
I'm waiting to see how it will all turn out, but they haven't released a damn thing.

This sounds suspiciously like a comment I heard a bunch of fans re-iterating on a site called www.team-gizka.org

Leader of project being a dick led to the rest of the team leaving. Something happened with the admin that caused the site itself to die. Good riddance I say.

Well the fans kept making excuses for that project for three years after the project was pretty clearly dead.

WTF were they supposed to do then? What type of game was it supposed to be, or nobody knows?

Eh, fuck it. Too much reading.
They were a KOTOR 2 restoration project, and then sucked a big one. That's all I'm gonna take from that.
Anyway, what are the odds, really, that Shadowrun becomes vaporware?

Well, unlike Team Gizka they have a deadline and paying customers. And unlike Team Gizka they have to rely on delivering a game or their job future and credibility would be nuked. They aren't anonymous.

And it's not that they don't report about the project. Recently they released artwork, some of it good some of it left behind my expectations (because cartoony).

Yeah, for example, characters looked awful (like Gorillaz).

Am I alone in not really caring too much about the art? As long as the characters aren't flaming fudge packers I'm good. I just really want something along the line of SNES & Genesis Shadowrun.

    Genesis, SNES wasn't very good.

Art looked fine, it's just that the orc and characters look like shit.

I liked both. Genesis is the more like the PnP but I found the SNES version charming. The Matrix content sucked ass though.

Who's talking about art? I'd just like to see some shots of how this game is going to play, given it's release is right around the corner. Colour me a sceptic.

The art style in the shadowrun pnp rpg was always realistic. Doing it cartooney would heavily surpass what SR is about. One of the latest ruleeditions had some cartoony (less cartoony than shown in SR Returns) artwork in it and from what I heard fans were really upset and they revised it in the latest edition.

    Insert clever insult here
Troll decker, ork rigger, elf samurai, dwarf mercenary, human shaman, humanoid mage, human/elf punk-ganger. The character style doesn't impress me too much but neither does it enrage me, so I guess it's good for what it is.
