The Codex still cannot agree on what a RPG is... :M

Not sure why we're always debating this. TB = RPG. Not Turn Based = Action Game.

Current Sword Coast Legends Twitch stream says they are adding new features like "interrupting" (avoid spamming abilities) and hardcore options (for example, option for no stabliziing during combat) to make game more challenging.

Also some features to help with rude looting / ninja looting.

This episode: We almost get humbled by an elder black pudding until we remember to check the quest, and find out there's charcoal and then there's charcoal.

This episode: More Hallowed Grove, more natives and a really frustrating room with a couple of harvesters.

This episode: It's back into the sewers for more Dead Rat-erific questing. Hommet starts using animate dead and gets lightning bolt. General leveling up all around.

p.s. Bit disappointed with Lightning Bolt animation vs. Witchbolt (which is a cantrip in SCL).

Yeah, despite all the hate I think it's fun for what it is.

This episode: Wererats, plague rats, infernal rats and giant rats. Get the point? There's rats. Plus we become honorary Dead Rats.

This episode: We get jumped by fanatical cultists and somehow turn it around after things go pear shaped, and then start slumming with the undead. Hey, it's the in thing these days.

This episode: We're finally starting to get the Hallowed Grove puzzles somewhat figured out, as well as deciphering native runes for numbers. More doors opened, and surprise surprise here's some harvesters!

This episode: More secrets of the Hallowed Grove are revealed, plus major story plot points come to light. We level up and leave the Hallowed Grove behind, having knocked out most of it and hopefully didn't miss anything critical.

This episode: We maraud the mausoleums of Luskan, fight vampires and skeletons, and complete a ritual to take us deeper into Hommet's personal quest.

What's your current verdict on the campaign and the general state of the game?

Campaign is fun for what it is... a basic Tolkeinesque fantasy game where you quest around and level up until you get to the big baddy. Enjoyable like a favorite kind of meal. I would prefer turn based, but other than that I think it's a good game.

State of the game wise, they are still struggling to get people invested in multiplayer which is really where the game can succeed long term or not. They stumbled pretty badly there but are working to improve.

This episode: We traipse around Marefil's Lyceum and have a grand old time fighting bunches and bunches of undead. Larathel gets toasted about 300 times by a fire trap.

This episode: We complete another bounty hunt, visit the farm of Lord Rheamus, fight some freaky looking giant spiders, level up, and finally make it to the fabled city of Corem.

This episode: Exploration of Maferil's Lyceum continues as we solve puzzles and more of the main story unfolds. P.S. Maferil's kind of grumpy, but what do you expect from a dead necromancer?
