Has anyone here managed to do Nuke Runner playthrough?
Almost. Got deleted in sector 5, bad rng fucked me up when the energy beam erased a couple of key modules. I boosted evasion as high as I could but definitely wasn't enough. I'm pretty sure I had a good shot for reaching sector 10, otherwise.
Weapon selection is shit iirc, so you more or less need to start from sector 1 and hope for a somewhat decent drop. I can't remember if I spent resources on PD or shield batteries first but the biggest problem you will have is definitely space, especially if you start with multiple nukes (and why wouldn't you?)
All in all I remember it being somewhat grindy, you could try farming some SOS before the sector 5 warpgate but it's a coin toss, triple slavers on the Nuke Runner means loads of resources lost, with a ship where every spare bolt counts.
edit: even the initial selection with fate points is somewhat fucked up, you will fill up your module storage pretty quickly with nukes and that leaves no room for cheap modules to immediately scrap for resources, forcing you to select sub-par spare resources. I suggest getting every possible drone, even the swearing bot, to draw away fire during boardings, you'll have shit PD for a long time probably and cramped interiors means your crew will be somewhat limited.
edit2: all in all, great game. I only wish they kept the sectors a bit more randomized, with different enemy spawns and such. An optional mode for a 5 sectors playthrough would be nice.
