The Switch is an amazing little piece of hardware and a great purchase for that age range. I recommend finding an older unit (pre-July 2018) that is hackable via the RCM exploit to run homebrew. You can install Retroarch on it and it works amazingly well as an emulation box (with the obvious added benefit of being portable), giving you access to a timeless library of incline, in addition to some great Switch-exclusive games and a lot of ports of the better 'indie' games.

I'm sure your kids will absolutely love it. Or your "kids". Nudge nudge, wink wink.
