    Hey all,

Im looking for a RPG, but cant seem to find one. Maybe im too demanding, but still, here are the demands
*Lot of stuff to do ( many quests, professions, collectables, crafting etc.)
    *relatively fast gameplay
    *can travel around the gameworld
*low graphic detail( i mean the game can be new, but i want it to be fast, no long loadings and resource usage of the computer)

In a way, I liked Eschalon series, but they somehow seemed to be a bit short and a bit too linear and not enough things to do ( :P)

Hope we can find something that suits me :P the best would be if the game was somehow indie, and had updates still.
    keep it up!

By today's standard I guess I guess the graphics are quite simple.

Try Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. It's a graphical roguelike, you might enjoy it.

Well, what else have you tried & liked? Ever played Arcanum or Divine Divinity?

Why? Try Dungeons of Dredmor then, but it's more of a roguelike, with no quests or open world map.

Avernum and Geneforce series, Arcanum, Fallout series, Baldur's Gate series, Icewind Dale series, Divine Divinity, Planescape: Torment, any pre-8 Ultima game, Wizardry series, Might & Magic series, Realms of Arkania series, Betrayal at Krondor, Darklands, Knights of the Chalice, etc.

In fact, just about anything from here: http://www.gog.com/en/catalogue/rpg

Without knowing exactly what you're looking for it's hard to give more specific recommendations.

You should probably check out an MMO. There are plenty of free ones - just google them or find them on Steam if you prefer. They aren't my cup of tea (tried a few) so I can't really recommend a specific one but MMO is pretty much exactly what you are asking for. Some require that you interact with others, some you don't have to.

The games most like that that I can think of are Darklands, Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Ultima 7. Darklands in particular really fits the description "a game that may never end or is a really long and nothing is really happening [. . .] There are always things to get, quests to do, dreams to fulfil and such"

sorry, but most rogue like games have 8bit color graphics. Id like to play something where you have some character detail n stuff. and Skyrim is a bit too resource demanding. i think something released in the time period of 1998-2008..

Try Fabled Lands, a free, completely non-linear choose your own adventure RPG with no ending and a ton of quests and adventures to do. It has very fast gameplay, easy rules to understand and it's a lot of fun to explore.

Most roguelike games have ASCII graphics.
And some beatiful games like Legend of Kyrandia series made in the VGA (8-bit color).
Repent and play Exile 3, heretic.

You know what you might like? The Quest for Glory series. They're adventure/RPG hybrids with a focus on exploration and stat-driven interface with the world. They're fun, charming and light games with a ton of ways to tackle obstacles and generally respect and follow through on the player's choices. They don't have the sprawling game world you're looking for, but they're still excellent and I think they'd be right up your alley.

I know longer have the spirit nor strength to suggest that which is gold, for if they should say nay... I do not have the energy to provide why it should be yea. If I cannot do the job well, I shall not even start... my heart just can't take the pain anymore. Once, when I was young and burned with the fire... now I am old, and my blood runs much cooler.

Meets pretty much all your requirements but it's an ARPG.

NWN: Hordes of the Underdark has many classes and satisfying dungeon crawling (at least for the first part of the game), and has a pretty fast gameplay compared to some of the older games mentioned in this thread. Although it's rather linear it requires little in terms of computer resources. So according to your criteria, I think you might enjoy it.

Edit: I just read this post of yours:

...so forget what i said. Go play an MMO or something.

Well the type of game, as defined by the criteria of procedural generation/endlessness, is basically a rogue-like but the guy doesn't want to play a rogue-like (despite there being plenty of graphical ones or tile sets for non-graphical ones).

Play a minecraft server and larp it up or soemthing.
