4v5 is easy, just have Karthus and everybody else is fucked :

I think I'm getting decent at eating people. Such a fun champion, and I think he's actually pretty good too. He's a high damage tank with good cc abilities and he can usually survive long enough to do his job since he has massive free health.

Darius does appear to have found some use, as a counterpick to Olaf

I was surprised by that actually, thought that match up would favor Olaf.

I was hoping we'd avoid posting about that bit of drama, cause half the internet is already flipping over it. Also, I don't want to give any views to that horrible site, kotaku. :M

I think we can all agree that Curse and Dig were clinically reatrded to discuss their plans in public.

The tourney was basically planned crappy. Both teams had already received their qualifications so the last match wasn't really important. Så they decided for an ARAM.

Anyway, this fucking e-sports needs to grow the fuck up. Children playing will lead to this crap.

this is bad stuff from the fan's point of view. not only does it undermine the quality of the games, it also turns off potential sponsors who dont want to be associated with match-rigged tournaments or teams. im fairly new to LoL but i have heard the name MLG thrown around alot so i guess its a rather large and important event, not some amateur neighbourhood gettogether. same shit happened with the brood war proscene in korea, bunch of guys engaged in match-fixing for money and were eventually caught and banned for life. they were pretty much universally despised by fans, commentators and players in korea, and alot of people point to the 2010 match fixing scandal as one of the reasons for the decline in interest of sponsors and eventual dissolution of teams and the scene itself.

sad shit, hope nothing like that happens to my recent online game addiction :X

So, they were disqualified and that's it? Recently, one of the Shushei's teammates was not allowed to play in tournament because he was banned by tribunal for his behavior in solo QQ, and those guys rigged a tournament match and just lost the rewards?

Members of both teams are personally denying prize collusion. I'm personally inclined to believe them because, frankly, facing a slightly easier team in the season 2 finals isn't really worth 10,000$ for dignitas - not to mention curse had a solid chance against them regardless. The other big thing people need to realize is that 2000$ (10k/5) isn't really worth all that much to these players. Saintvicious makes, in his own words "way more money than a doctor" and has confirmed that means six figures annually.

Saintvicious is saying that MLG took pulled both teams aside after the aram and asked them if they thought this was funny / generally yelled at them. Add this with the fact that the only proof of prize collusion is "eyewitnesses overheard in public" makes it seem all the more likely that MLG is just making shit up to DQ them over the aram.

That's highly lame and stupid. I suppose they don't get paid enough so they just want riskless money.

Well unless that was just as Phage said.

I have been trying out a bunch of champions. What do you think about these guys :

Malzahar, I like his AFK farming, 1v1 comboing, funny moments such as Malefic visions killing multiple people because they're running bunched low health like chicken, soundset and... Maybe teamfight potential but these days it just seems like I get a bunch of bruisers running at me and I can't cast a lot because nobody can or will stop them. Like, say, Alistair, coming at me, oh lord go away you fucking cow I don't want your CC bullshit in my face and don't you try to bait me into ulting you either FFS somebody help me blargh. Used to playing Karthus, Swain and such who just say COME AT ME, BITCHES.

Darius, let's make this short, he's not OP at all, just the sort of flashy character that can take all his teams kills even accidentally, making your team entirely dependent on you. He needs flash in every teamfight, otherwise you're not catching anyone, not even with your pull. I'm liking him in the jungle more than lane, he can go toe-to-toe with many junglers, can gank pretty decently in my opinion since he brings damage to the probably losing lanes, has pretty okay clearing, can steal stuff with Apprehend and you don't have to worry about no escapes like you must in lane.

Taric, I think Taric is a really good support since he's so straightforward and generally capable of protecting even pretty dumb carries and he can deal some damage on his own too. I have pretty much replaced Blitz and Soraka with just Taric, also even while he seems boring I have had pretty funny moments with him, lately some Alistair decided yeah, we're killing Taric and headbutted me into their carry only slightly out of their turret range, I just sort of drunkenly press my abilities, dead carry, thanks Ali.

Mordekaiser, am I missing something, this guy has crap range and no mobility, is a pusher but without escapes? He seems like a crap version of Vladimir to me. Why is he banned so often?

Amumu, back to the crying mummy... Why does it seem like the early game ganks aren't as shit as I thought? Also his clear speed is good so with just one ward his early clear shouldn't be a problem. Is he actually decent? For whatever reason I have had much smoother games with him than Nautilus or Maokai.

Jarvan, seems like a really decent top or jungler? Don't have a lot to say about him yet though.

I pick Taric when the enemy support picks Nunu or Alistair. I wouldn't say that Blitz is worse than Taric, he simply offers different kind of support. He is like Leona.
Morde is good only for normals, haven't seen people banning him though. In my opinion he can counter ap casters who don't have crowd control spells.

I play J4 only as a jungler, his low mana pool makes him bad for top lane.

    Really? Really!?

Because Mordekaiser doesn't have a short ranged cone and a next-hit-auto-attack-reset for his only spammable forms of damage?

Ye, Morde is the champ to learn if you wanna stomp at 1k elo. His constant shield regen by spamming spells makes him a pain in the ass to kill.
And Malza is bugged. So dont play him until they fix him. Bug makes Malza unable to use his ult thoughout the whole game if its interrupted at its very start.
And Jarv IV, imo hes better top than in jungle, Xin does jungle much much better. And mana issues throughout the whole game doesnt really make me pick him that often.
But solid damage and sustain and his passive is pretty sweet.

Yay, I won 2 games tonight and got above 1200 elo again. I need 100 more to get to my old rating, but I'm scared to play more because that last games were full of trolls and baddies. Any EUW 'dexers wanna troll couple normal games in the next few hours? My nick ingame is Traisz.

The Sceptre is still going to be very strong because you want to get close in lane to deliver your full burst for the kill, weakens minions for clearing waves with a single E and how well resistance work with his shield and spellvamp. What other MR items are you gonna buy? Merc Treads doesn't give enough and GA requires the AP to back it up.

Give it a shot, Phage, but I think you'll need a Void Staff late and have less mid-game presence without it.

Low Elo is full of cowards, traitors, heretics. No Commissar Gangplank skin out there to Raise Morale. :obviously:

For kicks I played Karma - amazingly enough there were no complaints in champion select; less amazingly, their bot lane and top won hard and 15 minutes in "We can't win". But there was no flaming, no surrender, and with Karma as the catalyst we claw our way back through hard team-lighting, spoon feeding our AD carry until even a 20 kill, 5 item Tristana couldn't break the massive shields 'n' heals. It is very rare to be complimented on carrying a game in ranked solo queue.

I know something about Mordekaiser, but it just seems to me his short range is too big of a hindrance. Or perhaps I should get both Ghost and Flash? Or maybe it's just that people always run away from Morde. Dunno. Need to play him more, I still like manaless casters. I think Abyssal is still good on him since his Q is melee range and it's the skill that deals best damage later.

So Amumu is actually good not only in low elo "hoho amumu ults 5 people" games? Suits me fine, he's such a simple champion to play that I like him. I'm not one for tricks.

People surrender in low elo because one guy has died 10 times in a row and just see OMG 10 - 16 BG, not realizing that after five kills the guy isn't even worth any noticeable money, so as long as he just drills his lane like an asshole and still gets CS it's fine. In another words people surrender from winnable positions because they don't know a lot about the game and only think the champion kill scores mean anything.

Hey what do you do against that Shaco bullshit where he ambushes you in your jungle with a bunch of jack in the boxes? You can't run from him with his slow and more damage from back so you're pretty much dead, but if you stand and fight the JitB damage is still overwhelming. This just happened to me once again, Shaco being everywhere where I went early and I'm getting pretty pissed off and play even more like shit as cho. I tried to get my teammates to flush him out but they were having trouble by themselves anyway. I thought about maybe just head to his jungle, less risky probably... Anyway won that game, jungle tank Cho is feeling pretty good actually, even if you deal less damage you're still pretty good at ganking and later on protecting your team since it's hard to even click off you.

I'm thinking this thread has suffered from a lack of a Brazilian perspective for far too long. The Brazilian Slaughter, do you have any input?

When the match starts tell the team to collapse immediately if you catch him in your jungle, ask bot to ward your wraiths, or skip some pots ask for a huge leash and ward it yourself.
