What is worse/older, in your opinion: The "roxor never plays ranked to preserve his precious Elo" or "Roxor hates the meta with a passion, and actively seeks to go against it" ?

I don't disagree with the general idea that you deserve to be at the Elo you are after a given number of games. Only issue is how many games it takes and the way the placement matches work. "Bad luck" with those and you most likely need more matches to end up at your "true" Elo.

The elo that I'm at really does feel sometimes like "elo hell" just because the skill level still seems so big. I get this team right, I play as jungle Alistar and do alright, top lane wins, mid lane sort of wins while bot lane is against their turret. We all decide to help bot lane, kill a few and destroy their turret. But then the morons overstay their welcome, get swarmed by fresh numbers and instead of running away to our bot turret they run away in the river to mid turret, all dying. Just like that a great tower dive went from 2-0 to 2-2. They did this shit all game. The worst was their ad carry Graves. I watched the dude in replay after the game and he was pro. He never missed any cs, all he ever did was get cs, recall, position himself to team fights, do some jungle creeps on the way to bot, cs bot and do it all over again. He was so efficient with his time, he looked like a pro. He never put himself in harm's way, and all the kills he got was by chasing. He played the role of adc to perfection.

Even during lane, he never went for the kill, just tried to zone the other guy and poke him. He played his job to such perfection, such low risk. Of course he carried the game for them. Our adc by comparison never pushed the lane hard, so he never punished their adc for recalling and going in a team fight. The farthest we ever were was a 7k gold lead and we lost. I felt it slipping between our fingers and I remember just begging our team to group and push mid. Our stupid ChoGah spent 5 minutes in jungle getting his stupid stacks up, while I was telling him that their adc would get a GA, he didn't care. They got almost a free baron and snowballed that hard because our team was incapable of map control or grouping, sigh. One team is perfect with timing, while the other sucks hard, and we're all the same elo!

The funniest thing is that looking at the carry's stats, he seems to be stuck in elo hell too! He has a 50% win rate on most roles and play almost everything.

As we all know, one game (where enemy Tristana rushes Bloodrazors) is evidence enough. :troll:

Ive been playing around 10 games with Lulu now and can say shes extremely strong champ late game. Been playing her solo mid and as support and she hits like a fucking truck with 200 or so AP. Not to mention versatility of her spells makes her do some serious shit in teamfights. Its been a long time since Ive been this impressed with a champ. Buff, shield, slow, silence, knockup. OP late game.

That's what the W is for, I want CDR from somewhere so I can fire again after that wears off. Maybe DFG and Ionian Boots. By no means have I played him enough to know exactly what I want to build, just that his animations are slow and his range on everything except the lasers maximum range is too short.

I'm probably just doing it wrong. I want to fire at that guy but Viktor always moves too close so I have to back off, then try to fire but again too close.
I have had this happen quite a few times. It's completely bullshit and it's not a small thing.

I like Viktor's laning, trading with Q, poking with the laser and pushing like an asshole and sometimes surprise bursting the opponent down, but later it just seems it's very hard to get to a good position what with the general disarray in soloQQ teamfights you have, since he's so slow and short ranged. That's not a problem at all with, say, Karthus who'll just charge in anyway or Gragas who has terrific range and mobility. So I get these games where I ruin the opposing laner but I still can't do shit in teamfights because some fucking Olaf or something waltzes in and I barely have time to fire once (or I just fire everything I can anyway and die quickly).

I'd like to try out Xerath, my friend has had great fun with him as he can troll from such a great distance, you're having a tussle on the river and suddenly some bolt comes out of nowhere and somebody dies. But somebody said he's bugged too, what's up with that?

In my defense, I was playing as support, if it wasn't obvious from items and score...

Half the time it's a case of "you had to be there". But since we can't post full replays of the sweet plays people post a scoreboard and think it tells the story. The other half the time it's whipping out epeens just 'cause.

In this case we were just pointing out our unorthodox choice of champs. We noticed that we do better when we powergame our team comp towards a specific goal, in this case having 5 dudes that can jump on an enemy as soon as we see em, and (apart from Kat) CC them in place until the others catch up.

i actually understand epeening but in this game all you need is a laning partner with a few freak lagspikes or a meth head and suddenly it looks like you pwned with top sona

I have no idea why Roxor and Co. (TM) don't spam Ranked 5's. You seem to be 5 people on a lot, and you learn a shit ton more from 5's.

Trolling normals moar fun. Ranked can backfire easily and snowball into other teams favor.

Played Janna for 2 games. Besides her OP passive she gives to whole team, its a squishiest champ I played so far.
Im wondering if any of you are using HP quints for her instead of gold/10? 0/21/9 or 0/9/21?

With squishy supports like Janna or Sona it's mostly about positioning and doing your best to avoid getting caught in the first place since you are doomed if you do. I either run 1/8/21 or 1/14/15 masteries on support since I want the improved exhaust. The first set is probably the one I use on Janna most of the time since you're not in the thick of battle with her like with Ali or Taric.

Not really, most often we are 3-4. And if we are 5, odds are Root is among us, which doesn't make for the perfect conditions to go ranked :troll:
