Apparently I have the distinction of being the only codexer in LoL who isn't a douchebag towards his teammates, or the rest of you merry lot should've had your vanity ribbons by now

Maybe if I played more I would have gotten one, apart from complaining about our last pick brand feeding the enemy mid I only limit myself to typing stuff like "ss", "go baron" or "oom" in ranked. Either way outside of the freak incident when the ISP decided to anally fuck my connection I won all my ranked games today taking me to 1310+ GRUNKERs.

Then again I think I just got lucky as we had no leavers, afkers or trolls where as the enemy teams had lots. Like support nunu. Or solo top riven who was afk for the first 10 minutes, I had free farm as Jax ended up with 12 kills and 200 cs at 26 minutes. Also I managed to dodge a bullet as one of our team captains decided to ban darius first which made somebody dodge. I can only begin to imagine what kind of player he was if he decided to ban darius out of all people.

Which reminds me, what is a good solo top pick nowadays? Malphite is a boss but unless I am first-pick he always gets banned by either team, Jayce is getting nerfed soon, same for Rengar (although AFAIK he's a better jungler than a laner).

Common misconception. The ribbons aren't awarded for reaching X votes total. the exact # you need to get the ribbon depends on who gives you the votes (you gain less from premade ppl and pl who give out honor often) and how many games you've played total. So the more you play, the more votes you need for them.

 

WW is outclassed in jungle, and I think the lack of top lane WW is more due to better picks being available.
Also, there's more to picking than countering lane match ups.

Aw yeah, just won a game that happened to be my 3rd troll game in a row. The leader starts off by banning Amumu when a player makes it clear he wants to play as him (or mid). So I take jungle and this player goes mid? Wrong. This player is again screwed by the second pick who takes Anivia. Leader then proceeds to teach that "pick order > calls". Much raging to be had, our dude goes mid anyway as Eve. When it's my turn to pick jungle, we have Graves, Anivia, Eve so I'm not even sure anymore what to take and settle for Nunu jungle knowing I might support. The 5th player takes Cassiopeia to complete the troll. He also didn't communicate once and upon asked why he takes Cass he replies "adsasdsdgsdaSD", his exact quote.

Pretty much everyone is raging hard at this point and I decide to play psychologist and rally our spirits. So we start playing, Anivia goes top vs Jayce (YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH) but surprisingly doesn't die once. The Anivia player was very quiet and just did his job really well. Cassiopeia kinda feeds but Eve (without Smite..) still insists she must mid so they 2v1 the lane the entire time, coming out slightly ahead. At bot me and Graves slowly gain the lead, push for dragons and shit. Good times. But then the story reaches its plot twist and just when we feel really confident Cass goes to feed so that most team fights are 5 v 4, and just generally being terrible. When that doesn't work, she leaves the game. Armed with a small lead, we deploy a base siege strategy and win, ez pz.

Meanwhile, I just earned the stupid honorable opponent where I completely berated 2 of my teammates (Malphite intentionally ksing or ADC, Orianna insisting that a 10 and 4 riven [me] is feeding) and made it clear that I thought nothing of a third's playing ability. I didn't say a word until I lost it and started to rage in all chat. Yep, I was being that guy.

 

I say GG at the end of games and still get 1-2 honours each game. The only thing you're distinguished in is playing enough games to get your tag faster.

 

I'm afraid it's more difficult to get vanity ribbons when playing almost full premades all the time, as opposed to supporting full random carebears.

 

Would honor if I could. You're doing your part to ensure innocent randoms don't get stuck with god damned kurwa poles on their teams.

 

And then you subject them to the horror of having to get teamed up with filthy rainbow danes. So this is what it has come to.

Evelynn nerfs, Ezreal nerfs, Jayce Nerfs, Massive Rengar Nerfs, Slap on the wrist for Sona and Blitz. Good stuff.
DFG Nerfs, just as Phage predicted. No longer grants cooldown. Base damage of active down to 15% from 25%.
Slight nerf to triforce to bring slow for ranged attacks in line with redbuff.
Some quality-of-life fixes for Syndra, but no buffs to make her a viable competitive pick.

Apprently you can see your own red ribbon now, so the polish scum don't feel left out.
Still no option to decide what ribbon (if any) to display or displaying multiple for those who happen to have more than just HO.

 

A good patch all in all, but I fail to see why the AS reduction was removed from Ezreal's W. Wouldn't it make more sense to nerf the damage so that Ezreal won't be reduced to an all damage, no utility champ?

 

He's still an AD carry with a get-out-of-fail-free card. RIOT probably figures they've sold about as many Pulsefire skins as they're likely to

Think all nerfs are warranted in this patch, though I think they hit the wrong part of Ez. IMO his E was always the problem.
And fucking Rengar players. I'm still amazed they could let any champ become that kind of monster.

 

I suppose it will help combat his poke in lanes, since he'll take more damage when me moves in to trade with the other carry. But I agree that hitting his rank 1 E with a huge CD/mana nerf and scaling it back to more or less what it already is at rank 5 would have been better. Remember when his W used to be an AoE heal too?

They wanted him to be more of a poke - disengage champ who avoids dueling enemy AD carry until he gets his hp low enough to finish him. Attack speed debuff allowed him not only to be good at that but also capable of winning any exchange after hitting with W.

He's still good and fits almost any team composition. He deals both phisycal and magic damage. He's got percentage health damage. His ult is great for protecting the carries and for killing the squishies while having relatively short cooldown. He's got team wide attack speed steroid. It's very easy to gank his lane post 6, even if he fails a bit behind earlier. He's good at chasing. He's extremely difficult to kill.
