I think Brand is lackluster due to what he brings compared to other champs. You pick him for straight damage burst. In order to do so, he has to land W, whereas other champions have an easier time landing their whole combo, and with DFG, all of them could oneshot people more consitently - Ahri, Gragas, Eve and even TF. Could be other things so. Last time I played him I felt underwhelmed, coming from the others. I think he's really fun though.

According to all sources Elise was pretty UP on PBE, and she got buffed a couple of times. I do admit, the E looks pretty fucking annoying, but can't really tell before playing with her.

 

Carry a team as support TF, get your AD carry and AP carry fed through hard stuns and loads of damage... no honor.

I told SV it was easy to get honor as support if you did your job and generally acted like a decent human being. I'm still getting +teamwork and +helpful even when we lose games.

After getting all 4 honor awards my ribbon changed to "Der Führer" (or "Great Leader" in inferior clients). It actually works a lot better than the green ribbon in champ select. People seem to assume "Great Teammate" means you're willing to bend over backwards to satisfy their ego. Whereas "Great Leader" apparently makes them follow sensible suggestions because you got "Leadership". The logic is flawed, but if it makes random people work together with less fuss I'll take any edge I can get.

 

I did my job and I didn't give our shitty jungle and god aweful top any of my thoughts. So there you go, myth busted.

 

PS. Underworld Twisted fate is as awesome as I expected, it just a bit jewish of them to take 900 RP per skin this year where as I got my Haunting Nocturne for 520 RP.

Well first of all the jungle has basically become a third lane, , it's just a long corridor, and its too accessible by the other lanes. Everyone is a dash or flash away. Secondly the game becomes very one-sided, the slightest advantage you have snowballs out of control very fast since the objectives are so easy to take.

 

New TT is kinda streamlined. You lane, you fight. That's it. The top jungle has been removed (might have been a good idea) and replaced with nothing (not a good idea).

 

I'm liking the new one, maybe because im winning more. Used to only play Riven on TT, but I played one match with her in the new map and she felt too vulnerable to early ganks. Now I'm using Ashe, and apart from matches with leavers, I only lost the first (I've even won some with one player away most of the match). She actually feels a little OP for that map. With a decent tank, good use of the hawkshot and the freezing, it gets pretty hard to stop her. That spider whore would outlane me with her heatseaking spiders but it's so easy to gank, plus having to care for those portal things, that laning is not as important anymore. I didn't even have a designated lane half the matches. It was all a clusterfuck of small skirmishes.

I used to play TT almost exclusively, and it was getting ridiculous. When the match wasn't completely one-sided, and the first towers came down, the losing team always hunkered down hoping for an ace in their base. Then the other team waited until dragon respawn and attacked the turrets for a bit. I saw this go on for almost an hour sometimes. Once you had no turrets outside, the top jungle was just off-limits, because someone had to defend the inside turrets, and the map is small enough that the whole team would quickly converge on the other 2. Then a 3v1 for 30 secs almost meant gg. Kinda the same around the red buff jungle. So, allowed to jungle freely and do dragon, it should have always been a matter of time. Sure there were some turnarounds, but mainly because of retards getting aced by base turrets. Then there was the nexus flash kill, trynda spinning into base or dragon, Teemo surrounding every square inch of the red and dragon area with shrooms, etc. Yeah, fun.

I do miss flashing over the dragon wall into the lane for a gank though.

 

Well, damage is about the only thing I like other than tankiness. I tell you it was fun to totally dominate a Kassadin today and read chat "OMG BRAND TOO FED 500 DAMAGE IN ONE SPELL". But anyway, I can kinda see why it's better to pick Gragas for example. His skills are so responsive, seems like they don't have much cast time to them so it's not like a Viktor with whom 1-2 skills will never be fired before you're stunned or some shit. But anyway. Zombie Brand. Why does he say "DEAD MEN FUCKING"?

I'd really like the new TT if not these goddamn altars. Having two huge global objectives with very short respawn time changes the map from mini-Summoners Rift into some King of the Hill mode with less laning than fighting in the jungle for the capture points.

Edit: But I must admit that getting as much as 12 gold for killing Yorick's ghouls with parrrley is quite amusing.

 

Reading a bit and having tried it ONCE, it'd appear that the altars are the biggest issue. The weight of their bonuses seem to cause excessive snowballing, which in turn, makes the map more about controlling the altars than pushing etc.

Just 'cos I like rushing in on Kayle for bigger E uptime, you think Im all gaga over that shitty little item!


The more I jungle bruisers, the more I become a fan of going Wriggles --> Aegis --> Guardian's Angel. The Phage seems to only slow me down and I feel too squishy mid game, whereas with this one I can dive with impunity and focus on damage after. The ability to initiate is a requirement in playing solo queue games, and this is a great setup for it.

 

Ok, the Spider bitch's E is not as op as it looked. She can't really use it for escapes, since without a target she will land in the center of the circle, ripe for the plucking.

I'm kinda amazed that people keep picking Yorick as counter to Singed. I met three yesterday and they were all hugging tower by 15 minute mark. They can deny farm eary on, sure, but once catlyst is ready, there is no stopping me.

Also wtf is up with Blitz not being able to grab Ezrael? Whenever I Q him, he presses E, but instead of being pushed towards me, the fucker get's away and becomes stunned at his target location. It was like that three times in a row.

 

Hard carry a team of huehue as Twisted Fate, instantly melting everybody I gank. 15-5 for our team by the 20 minute mark, Varus ragequits for some reason I can't explain, probably peed off that I'm the guy doing better than him or something and then the shitty top and jungle starts feeding. Lose game.

Got one teamwork honor at least.

 

Aegis is such a great item for junglers in general, gives everything you need. I wouldn't jungle with any bruisers that absolutely have to build damage items quickly anyway.

Heh, this other day I was doing pretty well as Karthus but our Wukong started to troll and feed because "you don't deserve to win NOOB KARTHUS ONLY KS". Also the opposing Evelynn got mad at some point because I killed him 1v1. Well, even Karthus can't carry those who don't even want to win.
