Luxes /laugh is nearly Lulu-tier. This is old knowledge on EUW. Until Lux learns to snort at the end of her laugh, Lulu reigns as queen.

In other news, me and Phoenix went to try on our christmas presents. Suffice to say our Karma/Teemo bot has a 100% winrate

 

Froggen has had a good amount of succesful Lux games recently. That might explain the influx of players attempting to learn her. She's really fun too, that helps obviously.

An over 10% drop in win rate. Jesus Christ she was a bit OP but now she's literally the worst mid pick.

And I bought her literally JUST before the nerfs. Might as well refund that one.

I wouldn't have nerfed anything about her 'cept the mana costs probably. I found it annoying how she can stay forever in lane spamming Q which isn't really a skillshot that can be missed or blocked and doesn't cost mana. I tend to find most characters with shields annoying though. I sometimes found her an OP laner when it's an 1v1 situation but whenever one kill greedy friend was jungling she usually dies to ganks. I hope they don't destroy her with nerfs though... I kinda like battling her with Viktor, Diana's are always so arrogant that they might even try to turret dive me with their crap ult, then I can show them who has the money ultimate. BTW Liandry's Torment is excellent and Viktor is OP. Just saying.

 

I completely agree Viktor is ridiculously underrated. His biggest issue is the sheer monies you need to have as Viktor and his lack of mobility. He does an excellent job farming with one of the best pokes in the game with a great teamfight ult.

I think they need to increase the missile speed on his Q and to improve the shitty 2 augments to make him more palatable to newbies.

 

After having tested all of them extensively, I can honestly say that none of them are shitty. There, I said it.

He is not THAT item reliant. Around early mid game all you need is a doubledoran + augment to already dish out major punishment and melt minion waves with the laser, and that's only for 2k. That's practically for free. Add in a rabadon and you're set fo lyfe.

 

The blue augment is decent if you need to use your Gravity Well offensively but when would you get the yellow augment? I would maybe get that if you're the only valuable member in the team and are getting bumrushed, but I should only get to know that after I already bought red augment. If it actually made the shield better I'd probably dig it.

Yeah, I find that Viktor with his passive is one of the cheapest champions to build. Red augment is 1k and in the end gives over 100AP. With double doran + red augment you become a beast in lane and farming becomes a non-issue. Also it's nice how many people stand so near minions you can farm and harass simultaneously with one laser.

Along with Brand and Fizz Viktor is the most fun AP mid and after Karthus the one I can play best, but unlike Brand and Jizz, he has a ton of utility and I actually find his kit is well-rounded for such a mad damage champion, he has a long-ranged high-damage poke, a defensive short-range nuke & shield, an excellent area control skill that's basically a noob trap of "you can't come her, if you do you get fucked" and a crazy damage ultimate that also silences for a while (BTW don't use it only for the silence if that means it's only gonna hit one guy, it's mainly a very high damage AOE ultimate so use it to get as many guys as possible, I mean just read it, TOTAL MAGIC DAMAGE: 430 / 670 / 910 (+ 223% AP, doesn't that sound insane?), I don't even see why he would need a buff but I'm not complaining if it happens. Well his mana regen is atrocious which shouldn't be a problem but I run into these junglers who think Viktor doesn't deserve blue because he's a shitty champion even while later on everybody wow's at the 100-0 action... In my last Viktor game this Katarina was coming at me 1v1, thinking he's so cool with his fed AOE mage, I just say "Dude, you're hot stuff in teamfights but I have Viktor and you have a TF champion", OBLITERATE, dead katarina, chat full of "op DMG".

 

I've tried the yellow augment a few times, the first time only for sheer lulz because I was also totally sure that it was worthless.

However, the movespeed increase you get from it can be simply amazing. Once you get Rylai's, you are basically impossible to catch - slow stuff with no-animation lazer, get movespeed buff with Q, GTFO. You can also do some crazy aggressive plays in lane - the movespeed buff basically means you can get close enough to a guy to drop a gravity field right on his head, which ends in an assured stun. It's also good for trading against short ranged/skillshot based dudes, like Kennen's cocaine ball.

If there's only one thing that I think is the biggest problem when it comes to Viktor's non-red augments, it's that they don't give you enough damage to one-shot-kill minion waves with the laser. It really is a big deal in lane.

 

Just got my first PENTAKILL with Varus. I bought Varus 3 days ago, first 6300 ip champ, and have been playing him ever since. Looking at his kit I knew the potential for pentakills was there because of his perma 40% attack speed boost if he starts killing people. And little did I know less than 10 games with him I get a penta, in ranked. Goddamn it was nice.

I start in a really tough lane partnered with a br Taric against Draven/Leona. Yeah. Our only chance was for Taric to be smart and allow me to poke but of course he wasn't and he loved to harass me whenever we lost a trade. "noob adc, report noob adc". Our team was even behind when we got a penta, top clearly fed and lost towers to Singed and mid had a scary Akali. Although I pulled ahead of their Draven, we couldn't secure a win, their Akali would just insta-gib me.

 

It feels like every Diana player switched to Akali.

Gave Viktor a try today. Easiest ranked win I've had and destoyed the enemy mid. Which was Lux, so the added bonus was stomping a champ the 'dex has been ejaculating over. More testing to follow but I'm starting to be curious why he got a reputation as such a shitty champ. He's great for teamfights, AoE slow/stun, AoE Nuke ult, and dat lazor. His laning is good too. Just poke all day and night. Low mobility sure, but a well placed gravity field either wards off ganks or stuns them if they go all in anyways.

 

Pre-nerf Diana was Akali, except stronger. Post-nerf Diana is Akali, except weaker. Go figure.

 

That's what I'm getting at.

People only picked him up when he was released, when his Q was downright terrible, his gravity field/chaos storm would disappear if he died and he had even more bugs than at present. And there's also the fact that he's a slow-ass fuck in a mid meta where everyone and their dog has a fucking blink.
