So, anyone playing League of Legends?

Shes stronk but not OP. Her W just happens to fit in well with the current no-armor league of warmogs meta.

Her clear times, ganks and teamfight utility is still nowhere near as stronk as Lee Stink and Mumu, and slightly weaker than Xin Zhao.

Heck, she's comparable to skarner (a dash/knockback instead of a spammable AoE slow, an AS/damage steroid instead of an as+ms steroid with a built in shield, and a suppression ult) with more damage but also squishier and with slower clears. And noone's complaining about skarner.

 

What about the insane range on her gap-closer? Which is easier to use than Lee's?

Also she does a hell of a lot more damage than Skarner and has the option of retreating with an easy-to-use massive range dash, to make up for her lesser tankiness.

 

Stun vi -> ?? -> Profit

 

It's not that simple, she has a fairly great passive to help her tank some damage while stunned, and it can be difficult to stun her if she uses her ultimate correctly.

Edit: I am willing to concede she just might feel very strong right now due to the HP / Sunfire Cape meta. Like she was meant to counteract it.

It's easier to use than lee's but unlike with lee you don't know if you hit the guy until you're already in face-rape range, the obvious advantage is that minions don't block it. Also Q is a major source of damage so if you miss it it fucks up your damage output severely. She has slow movespeed which is slowed even further when she's charging Q. The shield while nice doesn't make her all that bulkier. Sure Q can be used as an escape but good luck when you try charging it as you get raped after a botched engage or if somebody else decides to jump in you using their gapcloser, also CC interrupts it. Compare that to lee sin who has an entire kit he can use to escape. Also she has zero sustain and uses mana.

Her major advantage is that she's got good burst, her dps is also decent and she can build tanky and still dish out considerable damage. This combined with her kit makes her a very good carry diver and jungler. She can initiate teamfights by either charging in with Q or with R, although the ult is best used to stop the target after he tries using flash or other escapes. She's somewhat disruptive like riven with her Q knockbacks so she can peel enemy bruisers off your carries to some degree.

However due to her pubstomping capability I do believe she will get nerfed sooner or later even if she is not OP.

 

This. Comparing Vi and Lee is like comparing Leona and Taric. Sure, one will get more damage out of their combo. But if something goes wrong, Leona is comitted and will most likely die. Taric can just stand in the bush if noone follows up on his dazzle. Lee also has his safeguard to GTFO. If vi gets counterganked or her teammate is asleep, she's stuck in the pain zone.

It scales off max health, which she is unlikely to have a lot of early unless she wants to clear at a shen-like pace. The cooldown is also very long so she's unlikely to have her passive proc more than once during a fight. The shield itself will block damage comparative to skarners crystaline exoskeleton or lee sins safeguard, but it'll only do so half as often.

So many walljumps fucked up because someone dashed into my path. Also, using Q to escape slows you while it charges, which means you're actually MORE likely to get tagged by CC.

Same patch warmogs gets nerfed so her niche is entirely gone. At least she'll take garen and elise down with her.

 

Had some fun with Skarner these days, when it goes good, it goes really good. Just by showing your face makes the other team back up. trololo
Lost the last game with him cause our Singed was 1/15 and then afked for rest of the match. Their Lee dc-ed too and we won 2 last teamfights and then Lee connected again. That mofo.
I think its the only champ I build meta-style, he still deals nice damage while only bloating HP. Wolves, smiteless blue then run to red with smite, double buff and lv3 while mid and top are still lv2. Works pretty good most of the time, I do the same thing with Trundle. It opens for a very early gank possibility and atleast someones flash goes off or we kill someone.

 

If you can't carry the game alone, it's your tier and you're being perfectly matched with such people, fuck you.

I'm not even going to play top anymore. Joyce, Teemo, Elise, Nidalee, Yorick, even Cuntlyn, whatever just as long as it's ranged. Just what the fuck is this, League of Kites? Pff.

50 more farm as Nautilus than anyone in team, and we won too, not crazy farm mind you just ~170 minions, and trying to let everyone have their farm I just pushed a few times and farmed when people were dead. It looked pretty bad though when I had four items complete and Garen had like 60 farm.

What's the deal with the new Sona art, the icon on minimap looks like some moustachioed turban dude?

 

I read at redtracker that one of devs said they are going to nerf Vi, maybe he meant next patch. Whatever, at least she's safe for next ~3 weeks.

If you check the videos of the new champ, when she uses her Q halfway through the first, you might notice a cooldown bar under fioras HP. That's their new loss of control marker (was mentioned in a previous PBS update) that'll show what type of CC/Defuff is on you and how long until it's gone.

 

Fuck me Quinn is out already on the PBE? I have to try her no matter how clogged up the server is.

Well I encountered some potatoes on the PBE who picked every position or champion I was interested in, dodged like a boss. Another time will have to do.

 

I recently lost my job, so I was all :emo: and :derp: I still feel sorry for that game Ulm and SV :-(, but being unemployed means having a lot of free time, so I practiced the shit out of my Kog'maw.

So here's how you build Kog'maw to make every warmog rushing Garen shit his pants or to make that Cho'gath with 6 stacks on feast run to his nexus like a little bitch.

For runes use you favourite standard adc stuff (I'm using ad reds, armor yellows, mr/lvl blues and movement speed quints, but take whatever you feel comfortable with) and your masteries should look like that:

For summoners I recommend ghost or flash and exhaust or cleanse. Don't pick ignite because Kog's early game is very weak and you won't be securing any kills in first few minutes and later you'll be finishing people off with your ult. Don't pick heal or barrier because they suck.

Skill progression: start with W -> take E on lvl 2 -> max W -> max Q (get R whenever possible ofc.)

Items:
1) Start with longsword + pots or boots + pots.
2) Get Berserker's Greaves ASAP because in the beginning you'll be everyone's bitch and you'll need to run fast to escape enrichment by enemy's diveristy squads.
3) Rush Blade of the Ruined King. No, seriously, rush BotRK. It's bad idea rush it on almost every AD carry, but it's great on Kog. It's not that it gives you sustain, damage and synergizes with your AS steroid on Q, but it has awesome Active that will save your little koggy tail plenty of times. It deals ~200 dmg to the enemy, heal yourself for that ~200 hitpoints, and steals 30% MS. Very useful for baiting towerdives, helping your jungler with ganks or escaping enemy ganks. Trust me, it's good.
4) Get Runaan's Hurricane. In reality it's not as useful in teamfights as it may seem from reading the description because the targets need to be very close to each other, but it's great for clearing minion waves in short time. And that's good because it allows you to pop W, quickly clear minion wave and safely back off while you're on you your vulnerable "omg-my-W-is-on-cooldown" period. It's not the most efficient way of farming, but it's better than dying. And yes, Hurricane applies both your W's and BotRK's %hp shred.
5) Get Bloodthirster because BT is fucking awesome.
6) If you manage to survive that long, you're gonna be the #1 priority target for the enemy team, so it's time for some defensive item. Mercurial Scimitar (upgraded QSS) if you face lots of hard CC, Warmog/GA against assassins. If your enemies are dumb and you can handle them without much problems then get Zephyr for some tenacity and additional AS and MS.
7) If you didn't get Zephyr in previous step, then get it now; if you did get it then finish your build with Warmog or GA.

Few things keep in mind:
a) Since you rely on %hp shreding instead of scoring big critical hits you're gonna eat tanks like candy, but traditionaly built ADC will be better than you in 1v1 situation (but not much better). Fortunately, your ult outrange almost anything, so you can kite them with ease.
b) You will kill stuff really fast and you'll have truckloads of lifesteal, so sometimes it'll be better stand still and kill that ulting Olaf, rather than trying to fruitlessly run away from him. Exhaust is your best friend in these situations.
b) You must type " :3 " in /all chat after every long range kill with your ult. If you're not doing that, then you're not playing Kog'maw right.

Why get Zephyr instead of PD/SS? Tenacity usually doesn't help squishy targets much since if they are cc'ed, they get blown up.

 

Also, Taric will get slightly nerfed as a support, but looks like he has the makings of a truly, truly, truly outrageous bruiser now instead.
