And other annoying problems like gameplay.

Or lack thereof.
I could say that despite I consider MGS series among the best games ever, I do have a problem with the whole cinematic approach. Games shouldn't try to be like movies, since games can be so much more than movies.

MGS3 was actually pretty awesome. Basically fixed most of the problems that people had with MGS2.

Good news! MGS4 borrows from 2 more then 3.

gametrailers gave it 9.3 which i think is a reasonable score being what it is.
Lets just hope this really is THE LAST Solid Snake game, and they don't come with another prequel, or remake of the NES versions for the PS3.

I thought it was actually a joke, but the 40 min cut scences are a real thing...

You kidding? 40 minutes is small compared to the ending which is around 70.

It's funny how you guys hate a popular game simply for the sake of hating a popular game.

I don't hate games for the sake of hating games.

I hate games that suck.

I don't really care if it's popular or not.

Well, this is bizarre. That's a screenshot from Harvester isn't it? I've never played the game. I just read about it a few minutes ago on Wikipedia, linked from the page about censorship. Then saw this and realized it matches a description of a character in the game... Scary.

What the heck does it have to do with the MGS though?

Oh come on, you know as well as I do that at least half of the people in this thread bashing it haven't even played the game.

There's a game to play there?

Also, hi there. I played it. It's shit.

There's a good game buried in here somewhere between the outrageously japanese cutscenes. Unfortunately, you only get to play it about 15 minutes at a time about 6 times over, then the game is finished.

You're exaggerating, sometimes you only get to play it for 2 minutes.

I love the 20 minute boring soliloquies about nanomachines only to have the same discussion with someone else in a later even more boring cutscene, followed immediately by Otacon calling you to discuss the same boring shit for 10 minutes. But the boring psycho/technobabble is not nearly as painful as the pathetic attempts at humor that make kingcomrade look like Bill Hicks.

It's hard to review the gameplay cause 5 hours into it there's so fucking little of it.

Hideo Kojima is Ed Wood without budget constraints.
